Integrative analysis of quantitative trait loci of alternative polyadenylation and GWAS highlights key regulators of milk production and immune traits in Holstein

open access: yesAnimal Genetics, Volume 57, Issue 2, April 2026.
Abstract Understanding the genetic regulation of complex traits like mastitis in Holstein dairy cows remains a challenge, despite significant advancements in breeding techniques. This study integrates 3′‐untranslated region alternative polyadenylation (APA) quantitative trait loci (3′aQTL) mapping with genome‐wide association studies (GWASs) to ...

Investigating Emotional Reactivity in Experienced Users of Psychedelics: A Cross‐Sectional fMRI Study

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 5, 1 April 2026.
This cross‐sectional fMRI study compared experienced psychedelic users and matched nonusers on behavioral and neural responses to emotional facial expressions. Findings reveal neurofunctional differences between groups in emotional reactivity, highlighting both similarities and important distinctions in the long‐term effects of naturalistic versus ...

The Neural Organization of Visual Information in the Auditory Cortex of the Congenitally Deaf

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 2, February 1, 2026.
Using fMRI and pRF modeling, we show that visual spatial information is represented in the auditory cortex of congenital deaf individuals through deactivation signals. These negative BOLD responses suggest a novel mechanism of cross‐modal plasticity.

Photoaffinity labeling coupled to MS to identify peptide biological partners: Secondary reactions, for better or for worse?

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, Volume 44, Issue 5, Page 715-756, September/October 2025.
Abstract Affinity photolabeling is a smart method to study noncovalent and transient interactions and provide a submolecular picture of the contacts between interacting partners. In this review, we will focus on the identification of peptide partners using photoaffinity labeling coupled to mass spectrometry in different contexts such as in vitro with a
