The genus Xanthoconium (Boletaceae, Boletales) in tropical China

Phytotaxa, 2017
The collections of Xanthoconium from tropical China are investigated on the basis of morphology and molecular phylogenetic analyses of DNA sequences from the nuc 28S rDNA D1-D2 domains (28S), the translation elongation factor 1-α gene (TEF1) and RNA polymerase II second largest subunit gene (RPB2).

A new approach to the phylogeny of the order Boletales (Basidiomycotina)

Nordic Journal of Botany, 1987
An analysis employing parsimony and character compatibility methods is carried out for selected species in the various families constituting the order Boletales s.l. The results indicate that Paxillaceae is polyphyletic, actually representing a primitive matrix from which many of the other families have evolved.

A natural arrangement of the Boletales, with reference to spore morphology

Transactions of the British Mycological Society, 1981
The order Boletales is redefined and a revised classification is proposed, resulting from an investigation of the basidiospore morphology of boletoid and allied gasteroid genera, together with an assessment of other characters. Thirty-five genera are recognized within six families, namely Boletaceae Chev., Gomphidiaceae Maire ex Singer, Gyrodontaceae ...

Pseudoboletus, a new genus of Boletales.

Česká Mykologie, 1991
The stipe surface of the boletes which have been placed usually in the genera Boletus and Xerocomus was studied. It was found that members of both these genera have the stipe surface fertile, composed of a caulohymenium with sporulating caulobasidia. An exception in this group is the species Boletus parasiticus whose stipe surface is sterile, covered ...

Mycogeography in the South Pacific Region: Agaricales, Boletales

Australian Journal of Botany Supplementary Series, 1983
Seventy-five basidiomycetous larger fungi (Agaricales, Boletales and two Hydnales and Aphyllophorales) are selected to demonstrate their mycogeographic relationships and distribution patterns in the South Pacific region (southern South America, New Zealand, Australia/Tasmania, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea).
