The Modeling of Bolide Terminal Explosions
Earth, Moon, and Planets, 2004The phenomenon of terminal thermal explosions of bolides is considered and mathematically modeled, using the mechanisms of ablation and fragmentation due to mechanical and thermal stresses. The definition and criterion of thermal explosions are given.

The stratigraphic record is punctuated by episodes of mass extinction; these must be accounted for by major changes in the evolution of the Earth. Three groups of forces have acted on the Earth through time and may be adduced as the ultimate causes of many geological phenomena—including extinctions.

<p>October 31st of 2015 the bolide lightened up the sky above Northern Poland. The main purpose of the project&#160; was to define the place and time of its explosion in Earth&#8217;s atmosphere. To calculate these values and define the velocity of acoustic wave in the air, MATLAB model has been created. The model

One of the interesting applications of a classical problem on movement of a solid body in resistant media is considered which is connected to estimation of trajectories of space bodies such as meteorites in the atmosphere of the Earth (or other planets). One feature of these objects is the absence of their “correct” form.

Meteoroid, Bolide and Meteorite «Chelyabinsk»
Materials Science Forum, 2016This paper presents the brief review of Chelyabinsk group of meteoroid, bolide and meteorite "Chelyabinsk" investigations. Height of the maximum of the main flash of Chelyabinsk bolide is 30 km. Only 1% of meteoroid mass arrived to the Earth surface in the form of meteorites while the most part of meteoroid became dust.

Radiation effect of the Chelyabinsk bolide
JETP Letters, 2016A physical model of the action of radiation from a bolide on Earth’s lower ionosphere has been presented. The calculations within this model applied to the Chelyabinsk bolide on February 15, 2013, have reproduced the luminosity curves in the visible and infrared ranges in agreement with ground and satellite observations.

Peculiarities of the Fragmentation of Benešov's Bolide
Solar System Research, 2003One of the previously published models for the fragmentation of meteoroids (Baldwin and Sheaffer, 1971) is used to analyze the observed segment of the trajectory of Benesov's bolide (Benesov, EN 070591) of the European Fireball Network. An important element of these observations is the separation of luminous fragments from the main body at the final ...
