A Scalable, Durable, Fire‐Safe All‐Day Passive Radiative Cooling Coating for Sustainable Buildings

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study reports a scalable, durable coating that combines a fire‑retardant copolymer adhesive, hollow glass microspheres, and boron oxide to achieve passive radiative cooling with over 94% solar reflectance and >95% mid‑infrared emissivity. The coating maintains performance after UV and rain exposure and exhibits UL‑94 V‑0 fire resistance, enabling ...

Design of Efficient and Mechanically Robust Anion Exchange Membrane for Water Electrolysis Achieved by Chemically Crosslinked Elastomers using Polyfluorene‐Based Conjugated Polymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
High‐performance SEBS‐PFB AEM is developed by crosslinking SEBS‐amine with polyfluorene‐based crosslinker containing benzene spacer. With the superior electrochemical and mechanical properties, SEBS‐PFB enabled an AEMWE single cell to achieve a high current density of 14.0 A cm−2 at 2.0 V and 80 °C in 1 m KOH, using a PtRu/C cathode and Ni2Fe anode ...

Metal-ceramic bond strength

Acta Odontologica Scandinavica, 1996
No currently available bond test for dental metal ceramic systems has yet gained general acceptance. Such a bond test cannot be established without careful analysis of the stress distribution within the adherence region. The objective of the present study was to establish a mechanical shear stress test and combine the results with a finite element ...

Bond strengths of resin-bonded metal castings

Dental Materials, 1985
Abstract Composite resin-retained appliances are susceptible to failure at the resin-metal interface. The objective of this study was to evaluate bond strengths of perforated and electrolytically etched framework designs by subjecting them to tensile and shear loading. Shear bond strengths were always higher than tensile bond strengths.

Predicting Bond Strength

The Journal of Adhesion, 1987
Abstract Methods are presented for predicting the load carrying capability of a bonded joint using relatively simple laboratory test samples. It is first shown that using an average stress criterion can lead to errors of an order of magnitude in predicted load carrying capability.

Bond Strength in Cold Roll Bonding

CIRP Annals, 1985
Summary The mechanisms producing metallic bonds in cold welding are fracture of the contaminant surface film, extrusion of base material through the cracks and builoup of real contact and coalescing with base material of the opposite surface. Bay has earlier proposed a general model for the bond strength in cold welding based upon a continuum ...
