Arthroscopy‐Assisted Fixation of Combined Coracoid Fracture and Acromioclavicular Dislocation: A Minimalist Approach

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, EarlyView.
Abstract Combined acromioclavicular dislocation and coracoid process fracture disrupts the superior shoulder suspensory complex, leading to shoulder instability that often requires surgical intervention. This rare injury, increasingly identified through advanced diagnostics, lacks consensus on the optimal treatment. We describe a minimalist arthroscopy‐

Fresh Talus Allograft Preparation for the Treatment of a Large Off‐Track Hill‐Sachs Lesion

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, EarlyView.
Abstract Large off‐track Hill‐Sachs lesions present a significant challenge in the management of recurrent anterior shoulder instability, particularly in young, active patients. Traditional Hill‐Sachs management procedures include remplissage, coracoid transfer and free bone block reconstruction, which all carry associated limitations, including non ...

Knotless Suture Staple Remplissage for Hill‐Sachs Lesions in the Beach Chair Position

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, EarlyView.
Abstract The addition of remplissage to arthroscopic Bankart repair in the presence of a Hill‐Sachs lesion can help decrease recurrence of anterior shoulder instability. The remplissage procedure often involves passage of suture from anchors in the Hill‐Sachs lesion to the extra‐articular side of the shoulder capsule followed by knot tying.

A New Technique for Placing Pedicle Screws Into Bone Cement‐Strengthened Vertebrae Involving Drilling and Melting

open access: yesOrthopaedic Surgery
Objective Vertebroplasty with non‐degradable polymethyl methacrylate bone cement is a common procedure in spine surgery. However, this bone cement reinforcement of the vertebral body could affect subsequent spinal surgeries, especially for pedicle screw ...

Combined Medial Unicompartmental Knee Arthroplasty and Revision Allograft Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, EarlyView.
Abstract Combined medial unicompartmental knee arthroplasty and revision anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction with an Achilles tendon allograft offers a promising solution for young, active patients with isolated medial compartment osteoarthritis and a failed prior anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.

Histomorphometric Study of Tissue Reaction to Mini-screws with Composite Coating Implanted in the Maxilla of Rabbits

open access: yesJournal of Islamic Dental Association of Iran, 2015
Background and Aim: Stability of mini-screws in bone depends on mechanical factors in the primary phase and biological factors after osseointegration. mini-screws can transfer thermal shocks in the oral cavity to bone marrow.
