On nonsingularity of Boolean control networks
2016 American Control Conference (ACC), 2016A previous paper [Zhang et al. Automatica, 60, 155–164, 2015] characterizes invertibility and nonsingularity of Boolean control networks (BCNs). In this follow-up paper, we give a matrix-form sufficient condition for nonsingularity of BCNs, and design an algorithm to compute the pseudo-inverse BCN for a nonsingular BCN based on the sufficient condition.

Minimal observability of Boolean control networks
Systems & Control Letters, 2022The minimum observability of Boolean control networks (BCNs) is investigated in this paper. It is interesting and necessary to investigate the minimal observability problem for BCNs. The following three problems are solved: (1) whether a given system is observable; (2) how to design sensors to make a system observable; (3) how to obtain the minimum ...

Further Results on the Controllability of Boolean Control Networks
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2019This note presents further results based on the recent paper [J. Liang, H. Chen, and J. Lam, “An improved criterion for controllability of Boolean control networks,” IEEE Trans. Autom. Control , vol. 62, no. 11, pp. 6012–6018, Nov. 2017]. After some optimizations, the conventional method can be more efficient than the method used in the above paper ...

Set controllability for switched Boolean control networks
Neurocomputing, 2019Abstract This paper investigates the set controllability of switched Boolean control networks. Firstly, the set controllability matrix of switched Boolean control networks is presented via semi-tensor product of matrices and Warshall algorithm.

Controllability of asynchronous Boolean multiplex control networks
Chaos: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Nonlinear Science, 2014In this article, the controllability of asynchronous Boolean multiplex control networks (ABMCNs) is studied. First, the model of Boolean multiplex control networks under Harvey’ asynchronous update is presented. By means of semi-tensor product approach, the logical dynamics is converted into linear representation, and a generalized formula of control ...

Output Tracking of Boolean Control Networks
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2020The output tracking (regulation) problem of Boolean control networks is considered. First, formulas are given for calculating the set of control attractors and the (maximum) control invariant subset within a given subspace. Next, by constructing an auxiliary system and using the set controllability method, an easily verifiable necessary and sufficient ...

Controllability of Boolean Networks via Mixed Controls
IEEE Control Systems Letters, 2018Controllability is one of the most important properties of a Boolean control network (BCN). Essentially there are two kinds of controls: 1) networked inputs and 2) free logical inputs. This letter considers controllability of BCNs under mixed controls.
