Response of Boolean networks to perturbations

open access: yes, 2008
We evaluate the probability that a Boolean network returns to an attractor after perturbing h nodes. We find that the return probability as function of h can display a variety of different behaviours, which yields insights into the state-space structure.

AND-NOT logic framework for steady state analysis of Boolean network models [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Finite dynamical systems (e.g. Boolean networks and logical models) have been used in modeling biological systems to focus attention on the qualitative features of the system, such as the wiring diagram.

Diagrammatic expansion of information flows in stochastic Boolean networks

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2020
Accurate information transfer is essential for biological, social, and technological networks. Computing transfer entropy (TE), a measure of information flow, usually relies on numerical methods even in small networks, which obscures the origin of ...

A Guard Cell Abscisic Acid (ABA) Network Model That Captures the Stomatal Resting State

open access: yesFrontiers in Physiology, 2020
Stomatal pores play a central role in the control of carbon assimilation and plant water status. The guard cell pair that borders each pore integrates information from environmental and endogenous signals and accordingly swells or deflates, thereby ...
