Analysis and Simulation of Boost Converter Versus Tri-state Boost Converter
2021In this work, comparative analysis between boost converter and tri-state boost converter is presented. The work started from the modeling of boost converter followed by modeling of the tri-state boost converter. The performance of both the converters is discussed properly, and then after the power losses are investigated for both the converters ...

A novel voltage-bucking/boosting converter: KY buck-boost converter
2008 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology, 2008In this paper, a novel voltage-bucking/boosting converter, named as KY buck-boost converter (i.e. 2D converter) is presented herein. Unlike the traditional buck-boost converter, this converter possesses fast transient responses, similar to the behavior of the buck converter with synchronous rectification.

Research of an interleaved boost converter with four interleaved boost convert cells
2009 Asia Pacific Conference on Postgraduate Research in Microelectronics & Electronics (PrimeAsia), 2009Boost converters are widely used in the low-to-high DC/DC application and power-factor-corrected circuits. Based on the interleaved boost converter with coupled inductors, a converter consisting of four interleaved boost converter cells is proposed in this paper.

Modeling and Comparison of Boost Converter With Cascaded Boost Converters
2018Photovoltaic (PV) energy is a very important renewable energy source. The output voltage in renewable energy sources a is improved using DC-DC converters, which are the key part in a photovoltaic chain. Among the classic DC-DC topologies, the boost converter is the most used because of its simplicity and high efficiency.

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2006
Two implementations of the isolated boost converter that exhibit no parasitic voltage ringing across all semiconductor devices on the primary and secondary sides of the transformer are introduced. Ringing-free operation is achieved by clamping the voltages of the primary switches and rectifiers to the voltage of the primary-side energy-storage ...

2009 Twenty-Fourth Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition, 2009
In this letter, a KY boost converter is presented, which is the KY converter combined with the traditional synchronously rectified (SR) boost converter. Such a converter has continuous input and output inductor currents, different from the traditional SR boost converter, and has a larger voltage conversion ratio than the traditional SR boost converter ...

Predictive control of parallel boost converters
2008 34th Annual Conference of IEEE Industrial Electronics, 2008In this paper a novel predictive control for parallel power factor correction (PFC) scheme is proposed. It is based on an optimized power sharing where the active filtering approach is used in order to increase the current quality and, at the same time, to reduce the switching losses.

Minimum phase PFC boost converter
IECON 2016 - 42nd Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2016A minimum phase PFC boost converter is proposed in this paper. The proposed PFC boost converter shows the minimum phase nature due to the complete removal of the right half plane zero (RHP) unlike the conventional PFC boost and boost derived converters.
