Circuit Simulation for Solar Power Maximum Power Point Tracking with Different Buck-Boost Converter Topologies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The power converter is one of the essential elements for effective use of renewable power sources. This paper focuses on the development of a circuit simulation model for maximum power point tracking (MPPT) evaluation of solar power that involves using ...

Composition‐Tuned Enhancement of the Anomalous Nernst Effect in FeCo–Pt Thin Films on Rigid and Flexible Substrates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.

Analysis of Non-minimum Phase in Buck-Boost Converter

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2016
In this paper, relations among the parameters of the non-minimum phase for the Buck-Boost converter are studied. It is demonstrated that when the Buck-Boost converter works in Buck mode, the negative regulation voltage is determined by the converter with

Evaluating Energy Absorption Performance of Filled Lattice Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Maximum stress must be considered to robustly evaluate energy absorber designs. This approach was applied to compare all types of absorbers in a single Ashby diagram and determine the utility of filling lattice voids with a second material. High‐performance fillers can improve the performance of lattices that are limited by buckling or catastrophic ...

Buck-boost converter Fed nine level cascaded H-bridge inverter

open access: yes
This research investigates on simulation of a traditional cascaded H-bridge (CHB) five-level inverter and proposes a nine-level cascaded H-bridge inverter system. The performance of both five-level and nine-level inverter systems is evaluated by modeling

Field Report from Collaborative Research Center 1625: Heterogeneous Research Data Management Using Ontology Representations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A unified research data management framework for heterogeneous materials data is presented. The system integrates multimodal datasets using ontologies and knowledge graphs, enabling interoperability and FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) data principles. By linking data across scales and workflows, it supports reproducible, Artifitial

Bidirectional positive buck-boost converter

open access: yes, 2008
In a positive buck-boost (PBB) converter, inductor current and capacitor voltage can be decoupled which may improve system stability. In fact for a specific level of capacitor voltage, the inductor current can be adjusted at different levels and can be ...

Hybrid control of the boost converter: Robust global stabilization [PDF]

open access: yes52nd IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2013
In this paper we consider the modeling and (robust) control of a DC-DC boost converter. In particular, we derive a mathematical model consisting of a constrained switched differential inclusion that includes all possible modes of operation of the converter.

Fostering Innovation: Streamlining Magnetocaloric Materials Research by Digitalization

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetocaloric cooling (MCE) is an environmentally friendly refrigeration method with great potential. Optimizing MCE materials involves the preparation and screening of large quantities of samples, which in turn generates a large amount of data. A digitalization approach is presented that uses ontologies, knowledge graphs, and digital workflows to ...
