Factorization of boosted multijet processes for threshold resummation [PDF]
Explicit applications of factorization theorems for processes at hadron colliders near the hadronic endpoint have largely focused on simple final states with either no jets (e.g., Drell-Yan) or one inclusive jet (e.g., deep inelastic scattering and prompt photon production).

Primordial black hole as a source of the boost factor [PDF]
Primordial black holes (PBHs) accumulate weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) around them and form ultracompact minihalos (UCMHs), if the WIMP is a dominant component of the dark matter (DM). In this paper, we discuss that the UCMHs seeded by the PBHs with sub-earth mass enhance the WIMP annihilation in the present Universe and can successfully

Control and Design of a Boost-Based Electrolytic Capacitor-Less Single-Phase-Input Drive
Adjustable-speed drives with single-phase input require a power factor correction front-end, usually implemented by a boost converter, to reduce the current distortion from the uncontrolled rectifier; this stage is then followed by a three-phase inverter.

Factorized MultiClass Boosting
In this paper, we introduce a new approach to multiclass classification problem. We decompose the problem into a series of regression tasks, that are solved with CART trees. The proposed method works significantly faster than state-of-the-art solutions while giving the same level of model quality.

Content‐boosted matrix factorization techniques for recommender systems [PDF]
Abstract Many businesses are using recommender systems for marketing outreach. Recommendation algorithms can be either based on content or driven by collaborative filtering. We study different ways to incorporate content information directly into the matrix factorization approach of collaborative filtering.

A Boosting Framework of Factorization Machine
Recently, Factorization Machines (FM) has become more and more popular for recommendation systems, due to its effectiveness in finding informative interactions between features. Usually, the weights for the interactions is learnt as a low rank weight matrix, which is formulated as an inner product of two low rank matrices.

DESIGN AND SIMULATION OF POWER FACTOR CORRECTION FOR AC/DC CONVERETER
One of the biggest problems in power quality aspects is the harmonic contents in the electrical system. Most of the current harmonics are due to the nonlinear operation of the power converters and arc furnaces .

Constant current and ripple control of LED driver without electrolytic capacitor
When the traditional unloaded boost-buck LED driver power supply has a high power factor, it will produce significant low-frequency ripple current. Based on the buck-boost topology, this paper presents an innovative LED drive power technology.
