Comprehensive Fragment Screening of the SARS‐CoV‐2 Proteome Explores Novel Chemical Space for Drug Development

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 134, Issue 46, November 14, 2022., 2022
Using a fragment‐based screening strategy by NMR, we identified 311 small molecule binders of 25 SARS‐CoV‐2 proteins, thus expanding the previously unexplored chemical and target space. Further, using experimental and bioinformatic analysis we identify potential binding sites.

Site‐Specific Labeling of RNAs with Modified and 19F‐Labeled Nucleotides by Chemo‐Enzymatic Synthesis

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 29, Issue 25, May 2, 2023., 2023
A library of post‐transcriptional modifications and synthetic modified nucleosides for the site‐specific alteration of RNAs applying a chemo‐enzymatic method is presented. This method overcomes the limitations of other established and well‐known RNA synthesis techniques.

EETTlib—Energy‐efficient train timetabling library

open access: yesNetworks, Volume 81, Issue 1, Page 51-74, January 2023., 2023
Abstract We introduce EETTlib, an instance library for the Energy‐Efficient Train Timetabling problem. The task in this problem is to adjust a given timetable draft such that the energy consumption of the resulting railway traffic is minimized. To this end, the departure times of the trains can be slightly, and their velocity profiles on each trip can ...

Astrocyte‐targeting RNA interference against mutated superoxide dismutase 1 induces motoneuron plasticity and protects fast‐fatigable motor units in a mouse model of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis

open access: yesGlia, Volume 70, Issue 5, Page 842-857, May 2022., 2022
Main Points Astrocytes are effective target cells for gene therapy against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. SOD1‐targeting gene therapy in astrocytes protects fast‐fatigable motor units. RNAi gene therapy directed to astrocytes induces motoneuron plasticity.

Boris Hessen and Newton's God [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
A significant thread in Boris Hessen‟s iconic essay, The Social and Economic Roots of Newton’s Principia (1931), is his critique of Newton‟s involving God in his physics.
