Raman Spectroscopy Of Boron Nitride Nanotubes And Boron Nitride — Carbon Composites [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 2005
Boron nitride nanotubes (BN-NT) are topological analoges to single wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNT). We analysed and refined the filling process for SWCNTs and applied it to the BN-NTs. BN-NTs were first annealed in air to open the ends and to remove BN particles. A filling procedure with C60 fullerene via vapour phase was applied.

Superconducting Diamond on Silicon Nitride for Device Applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Chemical vapour deposition (CVD) grown nanocrystalline diamond is an attractive material for the fabrication of devices. For some device architectures, optimisation of its growth on silicon nitride is essential.

Nested boron nitride and carbon-boron nitride nanocones

open access: yesMicro & Nano Letters, 2007
In this letter we extend previously established results for nested carbon nanocones to both nested boron nitride and carbon-boron nitride nanocones. Based purely on mechanical principles and classical mathematical modelling techniques, we determine the energetically favourable structures for nested boron nitride and carbon-boron nitride nanocones ...

Polycrystalline boron nitride constructed from hexagonal boron nitride

open access: yesRSC Adv., 2014
Two classes of structural families of boron nitride allotropes (named as X-BNs and L-BNs) are proposed to shed light on the polycrystalline structure of high pressure h-BN.

Ceramic Substrates for High-temperature Electronic Integration [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
One of the most attractive ways to increase power handling capacity in power modules is to increase the operating temperature using wide-band-gap semiconductors.

Boron nitride microsphere/epoxy composites with enhanced thermal conductivity

open access: yesHigh Voltage, 2017
As modern electronics are developed towards miniaturisation, high-degree integration and intelligentisation, a large amount of heat will be generated during the operation of devices.

Elastic Properties of Hybrid Graphene/Boron Nitride Monolayer

open access: yes, 2012
Recently hybridized monolayers consisting of hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) phases inside graphene layer have been synthesized and shown to be an effective way of opening band gap in graphene monolayers [1]. In this letter, we report an ab initio density
