Properties of Boron Nitride Nanotubes
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2003We examine properties of boron nitride nanotubes and contrast them to those of carbon nanotubes. Boron nitride nanotubes are expected to be as desirable for application as carbon nanotubes. Although boron nitride nanotubes are wide band gap semiconductors and electrically nearly insulating, scanning tunneling microscopy can be used to image and ...

Boron Nitride Nanotube Peapods
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2002We demonstrate that boron nitride (BN) nanotubes can be filled “peapod” fashion with C60 molecules. Filling small‐diameter BN nanotubes results in a linear chain of C60 molecules in the interior, while filling large diameter BN nanotubes leads to nanorods of crystalline C60 in the interior.

Boron nitride nanotubes as nanotransducers
2016As a recent product of nanotechnology, nanoscale transducers have been invoked as revolutionary tools of interaction between the macroscopic and the microscopic worlds, which can most probably offer their best intriguing opportunities in sensing and acting on the living matter at the level of its basilar subunits.
