4D Printing of Multimaterial Flexible Magneto‐Active Polymers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Magneto‐active polymers are 3D‐printed with tunable mechanical and magnetic properties using both superparamagnetic and hard ferromagnetic fillers. Nano‐CT imaging reveals the spatial distribution of particles within the matrix. Programmable magnetization patterns and soft, flexible architectures enable responsive actuation, offering exciting ...

Boronizing Kinetics of 30CrNiMo8 Steel

open access: yesTehnicki vjesnik - Technical Gazette
Boronizing is a thermochemical treatment performed to obtain hard surface layers that improve wear resistance. In this study, the boronizing kinetics of pack boronized 30CrNiMo8 steel is investigated. Boronizing was performed at 830, 880 and 930 °C for 4, 6 and 8 hours in DURBORID® G powder mixture.

The 8Li Calibration Source for the Sudbury Neutrino Obervatory

open access: yes, 2002
A calibration source employing 8Li (t_1/2 = 0.838s) has been developed for use with the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory (SNO). This source creates a spectrum of beta particles with an energy range similar to that of the SNO 8B solar neutrino signal.
