Minimal-Change Disease Secondary to Borrelia burgdorferi Infection
Lyme borreliosis is a chronic illness caused by tick-transmitted spirochete Borrelia burgdorferi. Borreliosis can be extremely threatening if it is not diagnosed and treated in early stages. Kidneys are not typically involved in the disease.

Statistical distributions and entropy considerations in gene codes [PDF]
In our paper selected linguistic features of genomes to study the statistics of the gene codes are considered. We present the information theory from which it follows that if the system is described by distributions of hyperbolic type it leads to the possibility of entropy loss and stability.

Lyme borreliosis group spirochaetes are parasitic bacteria transmitted by vector ticks of the genus Ixodes and distributed mainly between 40° and 60° northern latitudes. Since Borrelia burgdorferi sensu stricto (hereinafter, B. burgdorferi) was described

The microbiome, an environmental factor, can contribute to DNA damage and affect mutation accumulation. Infections with genotoxin‐producing pathobionts can induce inflammation and oxidative stress through reactive nitrogen and oxygen species, which may influence MSI.

Wild birds across the globe can carry the causative agent of avian borreliosis, Borrelia anserina, and that of human Lyme borreliosis, Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato in the ticks attached to them. Currently, only limited proof exists for the presence of

The Release of Non‐Native Gamebirds Is Associated With Amplified Zoonotic Disease Risk
Spillback is potentially an important mechanism by which non‐natives contribute to zoonotic disease emergence. We capitalise on quasi‐experimental releases of non‐native pheasants (Phasianus colchicus) to compare native pathogen prevalence between sites with similar local conditions but different non‐native densities. Prevalence of Borrelia sp.

The variety of Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato (B. burgdorferi) genospecies leads to distinction in clinical manifestations of Lyme borreliosis (LB). There are reports of LB clinical characteristics in China, where the B. burgdorferi genospecies in ticks

Even when recurring, heavy‐chain class‐switched primary cutaneous marginal zone lymphomas (PCMZL) show a good prognosis. The diagnosis of IgM+ PCMZL requires concomitant analysis of IgM and IgD in immunohistochemistry. Aims Primary cutaneous marginal zone lymphoma (PCMZL) is considered a lymphoproliferative disorder (International Consensus ...
