Linear chromosome of Borrelia burgdorferi
Research in Microbiology, 1989The DNA organization of several European and American isolates of Borrelia burgdorferi, the aetiological agent of Lyme disease, was analysed in pulse-field agarose gel electrophoresis. The results of in situ cell lysis in agarose plugs demonstrated a unique arrangement for the DNA of this spirochete.

Archives of Dermatology, 1989To the Editor.— Aberer et al, 1 in Austria, have suggested that morphea might be related to Borrelia burgdorferi infection. These authors found antibodies to B burgdorferi in five of ten patients with morphea in one study and eight of 15 patients in another study, which used the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.

[Borrelia burgdorferi encephalomyelitis].
Revue neurologique, 1988We report two patients with chronic encephalomyelitis due to Borrelia burgdorferi in whom the definite diagnosis was delayed because of atypical clinical features. The first patient presented with chronic spastic paraparesis, slight ataxia and nystagmus of several years' duration.

Ugeskrift for laeger, 2003We describe a case of progressive arrhythmia and heart failure combined with neurological symptoms that was resistant to conventional cardiological treatment. The outcome of a serological analysis was Borrelia IgG on a level consistent with chronic Lyme Disease.
