Global risk dynamics of Borrelia miyamotoi in the context of climate change
The habitat suitability index for primary vector ticks of Borrelia miyamotoi was projected using boosted regression tree models, considering multiple shared socio‐economic pathway scenarios over various time periods. A random forest model was used to predict the current and future potential risk areas of B. miyamotoi on a global scale.

Development of a PCR for Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato, targeted on the groEL gene
Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato (s.l.) is the etiological agent of Lyme disease, transmitted by ticks of the genus Ixodes Latreille. Diagnosis of Lyme disease in humans is often difficult and a detailed knowledge of the circulation of B. burgdorferi s.l. in tick hosts is therefore fundamental to support clinical procedures.

Would Superluminal Influences Violate the Principle of Relativity? [PDF]
It continues to be alleged that superluminal influences of any sort would be inconsistent with special relativity for the following three reasons: (i) they would imply the existence of a distinguished' frame; (ii) they would allow the detection of absolute motion; and (iii) they would violate the relativity of simultaneity.

Discrepancy between IDSA and ESGBOR in Lyme disease: Individual participant meta‐analysis in Türkiye
Abstract Background The evidence on the prevalence of Lyme borreliosis (LB) is limited, but there is a suspicion of overdiagnosis of LB in recent years. We reviewed the LB diagnosis and treatment‐related data in Türkiye, based on the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) 2020 and European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases

Comprendre les mathématiques pour comprendre Platon - théétète (147d-148b) [PDF]
In this paper, we study the so-called 'Mathematical part' of Plato's Theaetetus. Its subject concerns the incommensurability of certain magnitudes, in modern terms the question of the rationality or irrationality of the square roots of integers. As the most ancient text on the subject, and on Greek mathematics and mathematicians as well, its historical

Playing Lato-lato is Difficult and This is Why [PDF]
Lato-lato, a pendulum-based toy gaining popularity in Indonesian playgrounds, has sparked interest with competitions centered around maintaining its oscillatory motion. While some find it easy to play, the challenge lies in sustaining the oscillation, particularly in maintaining both "up and down collisions." Through a Newtonian dynamics numerical ...

Wild birds as host of Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato in northwestern Argentina
Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato (s. l.) spirochetes are associated with a wide range of vectors and hosts. Birds are important hosts in the ecology of some hard ticks (Ixodidae) in northwestern Argentina, where B. burgdorferi s.l. have been detected in Ixodes pararicinus.

Powers and division in the 'mathematical part' of Plato's Theaetetus [PDF]
In two articles ([Brisson-Ofman1, 2]), we have analyzed the so-called 'mathematical passage' of Plato's Theaetetus, the first dialogue of a trilogy including the Sophist and the Statesman. In the present article, we study an important point in more detail, the 'definition' of 'powers' ('$\delta\upsilon\nu\acute\alpha\mu\epsilon\iota\varsigma$').

Perfect State Transfer on Oriented Graphs [PDF]
Quantum walks on undirected graphs have been studied using symmetric matrices, such as the adjacency or Laplacian matrix, and many results about perfect state transfer are known. We extend some of those results to oriented graphs. We also study the phenomena, unique to oriented graphs, of multiple state transfer, where there is a set of vertices such ...
