Bose condensation in (random) traps
We study a non-interacting (perfect) Bose-gas in random external potentials (traps). It is shown that a generalized Bose-Einstein condensation in the random eigenstates manifests if and only if the same occurs in the one-particle kinetic-energy ...

Many-particle quantum graphs and Bose-Einstein condensation [PDF]
In this paper we propose quantum graphs as one-dimensional models with a complex topology to study Bose-Einstein condensation and phase transitions in a rigorous way. We fist investigate non-interacting many-particle systems on quantum graphs and provide

Long‐Range Exciton Energy Transfer in Two‐Dimensional Materials
This review highlights recent advances in long‐range exciton energy transfer within planar 2D‐material architectures. It emphasizes the emergence of self‐hybridized excitonpolaritons, exciton coupling to surface plasmon polaritons and plasmonic lattices, and the role of dipoledipole transfer pathways in enabling efficient nanoscale energy transport ...

Deriving density-matrix functionals for excited states
We initiate the recently proposed $w$-ensemble one-particle reduced density matrix functional theory ($w$-RDMFT) by deriving the first functional approximations and illustrate how excitation energies can be calculated in practice.

Bose-Einstein condensation in random directed networks [PDF]
We consider the phenomenon of Bose-Einstein condensation in a random growing directed net- work. The network grows by the addition of vertices and edges. At each time step the network gains a vertex with probabilty p and an edge with probability 1 − p.

Bechgaard Salt‐Like Polymers and Their Applications in Organic Electronics
The report presents a flexible conducting polymer micro‐wire grown from the vapor phase via an oxidative polymerization route. Electrical measurements show that the produced micro‐wires have relatively high conductivity and non‐linear electrical characteristics.

Soliton diffusion in a Bose-Einstein condensate: A signature of the analogue Hawking radiation
The analog Hawking radiation (HR) emanating from a sonic black hole horizon formed in a cigar-shaped Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) at finite temperature is investigated. In particular, we study the effect of HR on a dark (topological) soliton.

Electromagnetic quantum shifts in relativistic Bose-Einstein condensation
We compute deviations from ideal gas behavior of the pressure, density, and Bose-Einstein condensation temperature of a relativistic gas of charged scalar bosons caused by the current-current interaction induced by electromagnetic quantum fluctuations ...

Bose-Einstein condensation of magnons under incoherent pumping
Bose-Einstein condensation in a gas of magnons pumped by an incoherent pumping source is experimentally studied at room temperature. We demonstrate that the condensation can be achieved in a gas of bosons under conditions of incoherent pumping. Moreover,

Unveiling New Perspectives on the Hirota–Maccari System With Multiplicative White Noise
ABSTRACT In this study, we delve into the stochastic Hirota–Maccari system, which is subjected to multiplicative noise according to the Itô sense. The stochastic Hirota–Maccari system is significant for its ability to accurately model how stochastic affects nonlinear wave propagation, providing valuable insights into complex systems like fluid dynamics
