Recent Advances in Photonic Bound States in the Continuum: From Fundamentals to Engineering and Implementation

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
This review summarizes recent progress in meta‐photonics with a focus on bound states in the continuum (BICs) as a powerful platform for light confinement and control. It covers fundamental concepts, design strategies across optical regimes, symmetry breaking for practical quasi‐BICs, tunable and AI‐assisted BIC devices, and emerging applications in ...

Interface Phonon Transmission Behaviors and Their Resultant Influence on Thermal Transport in Cu/Diamond Composites

open access: yesMaterials Genome Engineering Advances, EarlyView.
Cu/diamond heat spreaders are limited by low thermal boundary conductance. Using DFT + DMM, we identify the phonon‐transport factors governing TBC and show that optical–phonon contributions and branch conversion are essential. High‐k $k$ carbides (B4C, WC) and residual B and Cr improve interfacial heat transfer, enabling robust performance versus ...

Lévy Distributions for One-Dimensional Analysis of the Bose–Einstein Correlations

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2017
A general study of relations between the parameters of two centrally symmetric Lévy distributions, often used for one-dimensional investigation of Bose–Einstein correlations, is given for the first time.

Quantum correlated light pulses from sequential superradiance of a condensate [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We discover an inherent mechanism for entanglement swap associated with sequential superradiance from an atomic Bose-Einstein condensate. Based on careful examinations with both analytical and numerical approaches, we conclude that as a result of the ...

Unveiling New Perspectives on the Hirota–Maccari System With Multiplicative White Noise

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this study, we delve into the stochastic Hirota–Maccari system, which is subjected to multiplicative noise according to the Itô sense. The stochastic Hirota–Maccari system is significant for its ability to accurately model how stochastic affects nonlinear wave propagation, providing valuable insights into complex systems like fluid dynamics

Interpreting BEC in e+ e- annihilation [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2019
The usual interpretation of Bose-Einstein correlations (BEC) of identical boson pairs relates the width of the peak in the correlation function at small relative four-momentum to the spatial extent of the source of the bosons.

Bose-Einstein correlations from "within"

open access: yes, 2005
We describe an attempt to model numerically Bose-Einstein correlations (BEC) from "within", i.e., by using them as the most fundamental ingredient of some Monte Carlo event generator (MC) rather than considering them as a kind of (more or less important,

Direct Mode‐Resolved Measurement of Interfacial Phonon Transport by Acoustic Phonon Reflectometry

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 13, Issue 10, 19 May 2026.
We introduce a novel analysis, acoustic phonon reflectometry, that measures the mode‐resolved phonon reflection coefficient at semiconductor interfaces. In aluminum nitride, we observe excellent agreement with the acoustic mismatch model across three distinct interfaces.
