Temperature of the hot α-source: A guidance to probe the Bose-Einstein condensation of α clusters in the heavy-ion collision

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2023
Recent experimental efforts were made to explore the Bose-Einstein condensation in multi-α system using the heavy-ion collisions. This Letter provides an explanation why no signatures were observed and a guidance for future experiments. More precisely, a

Repulsively diverging gradient of the density functional in the reduced density matrix functional theory

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2021
The reduced density matrix functional theory (RDMFT) is a remarkable tool for studying properties of ground states of strongly interacting quantum many body systems.

Stirring a Bose Einstein condensate [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Physics B: Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics, 2002
By shining a tightly focused laser light on the condensate and moving the center of the beam along the spiral line one may stir the condensate and create vortices. It is shown that one can induce rotation of the condensate in the direction opposite to the direction of the stirring.

Machine-learning-accelerated Bose-Einstein condensation

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2022
Machine learning is emerging as a technology that can enhance physics experiment execution and data analysis. Here, we apply machine learning to accelerate the production of a Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) of ^{87}Rb atoms by Bayesian optimization of up

Fluctuations of the Bose–Einstein condensate [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Physics A: Mathematical and Theoretical, 2014
This article gives a rigorous analysis of the fluctuations of the Bose-Einstein condensate for a system of non-interacting bosons in an arbitrary potential, assuming that the system is governed by the canonical ensemble. As a result of the analysis, we are able to tell the order of fluctuations of the condensate fraction as well as its limiting ...

Waveguide for Bose-Einstein condensates [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review A, 2001
We report on the creation of Bose-Einstein condensates of 87Rb in a specially designed hybrid, optical dipole and magnetic trap. This trap naturally allows the coherent transfer of matter waves into a pure optical dipole potential waveguide based on a doughnut beam.

Bose-Einstein Condensation and Quasicrystals [PDF]

open access: yesArmenian Journal of Physics, 2021
We consider interacting Bose particles in an external local potential. It is shown that large class of external quasicrystal potentials cannot sustain any type of Bose-Einstein condensates. Accordingly, at spatial dimensions D ≤ 2 in such quasicrystal potentials a supersolid is not possible via Bose-Einstein condensates at finite temperatures.

Coherence and Optical Emission from Bilayer Exciton Condensates

open access: yesAdvances in Condensed Matter Physics, 2011
Experiments aimed at demonstrating Bose-Einstein condensation of excitons in two types of experiments with bilayer structures (coupled quantum wells) are reviewed, with an emphasis on the basic effects. Bose-Einstein condensation implies the existence of

Color confinement and Bose-Einstein condensation

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
We propose a unified description of two important phenomena: color confinement in large-N gauge theory, and Bose-Einstein condensation (BEC). We focus on the confinement/deconfinement transition characterized by the increase of the entropy from N 0 to N ...
