The generalized Bergshoeff-de Roo identification. Part II
We recently introduced a T-duality covariant mechanism to compute all-order higher-derivative interactions in the heterotic string. Here we extend the formalism to account for a two-parameter family of corrections that also include the bosonic string and

The action of long strings in supersymmetric field theories
Long strings emerge in many Quantum Field Theories, for example as vortices in Abelian Higgs theories, or flux tubes in Yang-Mills theories. The actions of such objects can be expanded in the number of derivatives, around a long straight string solution.

Positivity of the Veneziano amplitude in D = 4
The Veneziano amplitude was put forward as a solution to the axioms of the S-matrix bootstrap. However, unitarity, reflected in the positivity of the coefficients in the Gegenbauer expansion of the amplitude is not obvious.

The Coon amplitude is a q-deformed generalization of the Veneziano amplitude exhibiting a semi-infinite sequence of poles that converge on an accumulation point, from which a branch cut emerges. A number of recent papers have provided compelling evidence

Killing spinors for the bosonic string [PDF]
We obtain the effective action for the bosonic string with arbitrary Yang-Mills fields, up to the α' order, in general dimensions. The form of the action is determined by the requirement that the action admit well-defined Killing spinor equations, whose projected integrability conditions give rise to the full set of equations of motion.

Pinching parameters for open (super) strings
We present an approach to the parametrization of (super) Schottky space obtained by sewing together three-punctured discs with strips. Different cubic ribbon graphs classify distinct sets of pinching parameters; we show how they are mapped onto each ...

Canonical analysis of new non-relativistic string action and uniform light-cone gauge formulation
We perform canonical analysis of new non-relativistic string action that was found recently in [32]. We also discuss its gauge fixed form.
