Entanglement entropy for open bosonic strings on Dp-branes

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2018
We study the entanglement entropy for open bosonic strings on multiple Dp-branes by using the covariant open string field theory. Choosing one of the spatial coordinates which are tangential to the hyperplane on which Dp-branes are located, we divide the

Bosonic technicolor in strings

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1992
Abstract It is shown that strings provide a natural theoretical setting for bosonic technicolor. In particular, bosonic technicolor structure arises in a class of strings formulated in four dimensions. An example of a model with three generations and multi-Higgs structure is presented.

QUANTUM GEOMETRY OF BOSONIC STRINGS

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1981
We develop a formalism for computing sums over random surfaces which arise in all problems containing gauge invariance (like QCD, three-dimensional Ising model etc.). These sums are reduced to the exactly solvable quantum theory of the two-dimensional Liouville lagrangian.

Quantizing the rotating string with massive endpoints

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
We compute leading order quantum corrections to the Regge trajectory of a rotating string with massive endpoints using semiclassical methods. We expand the bosonic string action around a classical rotating solution to quadratic order in the fluctuations ...

Narain CFTs and error-correcting codes on finite fields

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We construct Narain CFTs from self-dual codes on the finite field F p through even self-dual lattices for any prime p > 2. Using this correspondence, we can relate the spectral gap and the partition function of the CFT to the error correction capability ...

Courant bracket as T-dual invariant extension of Lie bracket

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
We consider the symmetries of a closed bosonic string, starting with the general coordinate transformations. Their generator takes vector components ξ μ as its parameter and its Poisson bracket algebra gives rise to the Lie bracket of its parameters.

Closed string deformations in open string field theory. Part I. Bosonic string [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
Abstract This is the first of a series of three papers on open string field theories based on Witten star product deformed with a gauge invariant open/closed coupling. This de- formation is a tree-level tadpole which destabilizes the initial perturbative vacuum.

Higher-spin Realisations of the Bosonic String [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
It has been shown that certain $W$ algebras can be linearised by the inclusion of a spin--1 current. This provides a way of obtaining new realisations of the $W$ algebras.

Stability analysis of classical string solutions and the dressing method

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
The dressing method is a technique to construct new solutions in non-linear sigma models under the provision of a seed solution. This is analogous to the use of autoBäcklund transformations for systems of the sine-Gordon type.

On the positivity of Coon amplitude in D = 4

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
The Coon amplitude is the unique solution to duality constraints with logarithmic Regge trajectories. A striking feature of this solution is that it interpolates between the Veneziano amplitude and a scalar particle amplitude.
