Deriving Spin of the Bosonic String
Exploiting the strict analogy between the motion of strings and extended-like spinning particles, we propose an original kinematical formulation of the spin of bosonic strings and give, for the first time, an analytical derivation of an explicit expression of the string spin vector.

All-order splits and multi-soft limits for particle and string amplitudes
The most important aspects of scattering amplitudes have long been thought to be associated with their poles. But recently a very different sort of “split” factorizations for a wide range of particle and string tree amplitudes have been discovered away ...

The bosonic string on string-size tori from double field theory
We construct the effective action for toroidal compactifications of bosonic string theory from generalized Scherk-Schwarz reductions of double field theory.

Second order bosonic string effective action from O(d, d)
The corrections to the tree-level effective action for the bosonic string up to second order in α ′ are fixed by requiring its dimensional reduction to 26 – d dimensions to be compatible with O(d, d) symmetry.

(m, n)-string and D1-brane in stringy Newton-Cartan background
This paper is devoted to the analysis of (m, n)-string in stringy Newton-Cartan background. We start with the Hamiltonian constraint for (m, n)-string in general background and perform limiting procedure on metric and NSNS and Ramond-Ramond two form ...

Veneziano and Shapiro-Virasoro amplitudes of arbitrarily excited strings
We extend the Veneziano and Shapiro-Virasoro amplitudes to four arbitrarily excited states in bosonic string theory. We use the formalism of coherent string states based on the Di Vecchia-Del Giudice-Fubini construction.

Directly from H-flux to the family of three nonlocal R-flux theories
In this article we consider T-dualization of the 3D closed bosonic string in the weakly curved background — constant metric and Kalb-Ramond field with one nonzero component, B xy = Hz, where field strength H is infinitesimal.

Positivity of the hypergeometric Coon amplitude
We utilize a novel method for the partial-wave unitarity recently suggested in [1] to analyse the hypergeometric Coon amplitude. In this approach we use a new type of harmonic numbers as a basis.

Quantisation of the bosonic string [PDF]
In this work we review the basic principles of the theory of the relativistic bosonic string through the study of the action functionals of Nambu-Goto and Polyakov and the techniques required for their canonical, light-cone, and path-integral quantisation.
