Boson sampling for generalized bosons
We introduce the notion of “generalized bosons” whose exchange statistics resemble those of bosons, but the local bosonic commutator [a,a^{†}]=1 is replaced by an arbitrary single-mode operator that is diagonal in the generalized Fock basis.

Boson–Boson Interactions at the LHC
Vector boson scattering is a key production process to probe the electroweak symmetry breaking of the Standard Model and is one of the most important topics of the physics program for the HL-LHC since it involves both self-couplings of vector bosons and their coupling with the Higgs boson.

A free lattice fermion field theory in 1+1 dimensions can be interpreted as SOS-type model, whose spins are integer-valued. We point out that the relation between these spins and the fermion field is similar to the abelian bosonization relation between bosons and fermions in the continuum.

Search for the neutral Higgs bosons of the minimal supersymmetric standard model in pp collisions at s√=7 TeV with the ATLAS detector [PDF]
A search for neutral Higgs bosons of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) is reported. The analysis is based on a sample of proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV recorded with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron ...

The practical benefits of hybrid quantum information processing hardware that contains continuous-variable objects (bosonic modes such as mechanical or electromagnetic oscillators) in addition to traditional (discrete-variable) qubits have recently been demonstrated by experiments with bosonic codes that reach the break-even point for quantum error ...

A topcolor model is presented that contains both composite and fundamental scalar fields. Strong dynamics accounts for most of the top quark mass and part of the electroweak symmetry breaking scale. The fundamental scalar is weakly coupled and transmits its share of electroweak symmetry breaking to the light fermions.

Eating Goldstone bosons in a phase transition: A critical review of Lyre's analysis of the Higgs mechanism [PDF]
In this note, I briefly review Lyre’s (2008) analysis and interpretation of the Higgs mechanism. Contrary to Lyre, I maintain that, on the proper understanding of the term, the Higgs mechanism refers to a physical process in the course of which gauge ...

A search for heavy Higgs bosons decaying into vector bosons in same-sign two-lepton final states in pp collisions at √s=13 TeV with the ATLAS detector [PDF]
A search for heavy Higgs bosons produced in association with a vector boson and decaying into a pair of vector bosons is performed in final states with two leptons (electrons or muons) of the same electric charge, missing transverse momentum and jets.
