NEAR-BOTTOM CURRENT MEASURED BY ACOUSTIC SENSORS
A vertical current profile has been measured with three acoustic meters 60 cm, 100 cm and 200 cm from the sea bottom. The depth at the measuring site was 84 metres. The profile is found to depend on the time scale of the water particle motion. An Ekman-like turning of the current is also observed, and the thickness of friction layers is estimated ...

Aspect-ratio-dependent charging in high-density plasmas [PDF]
The effect of aspect ratio (depth/width) on charge buildup in trenches during plasma etching of polysilicon-on-insulator structures is studied by Monte Carlo simulations.

Solitary Wave Solution of Flat Surface Internal Geophysical Waves with Vorticity [PDF]
A fluid system bounded by a flat bottom and a flat surface with an internal wave and depth-dependent current is considered. The Hamiltonian of the system is presented and the dynamics of the system are discussed. A long-wave regime is then considered and

Current-induced cooling phenomenon in a two-dimensional electron gas under a magnetic field
We investigate the spatial distribution of temperature induced by a dc current in a two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) subjected to a perpendicular magnetic field.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Monitoring of the water particle velocity field near the seabed under different wave and tidal scenarios: a real case [PDF]
Monitoring of water particle velocity on the sea bed is crucial to study morphological shore changes in a coast at intermediate and shallow water depth under progressive surface waves and tidal flow current. Therefore, 3-D particle velocity was monitored

By generalizing the classical linear response theory of stick percolation to nonlinear regime, we find that the drain current of a Nanobundle Thin Film Transistor (NB-TFT) is described under a rather general set of conditions by a universal scaling ...

Single B Production through R-Parity Violation [PDF]
Supersymmetry without R-parity predicts tree level quark flavor violation. We present a potential signal of single bottom production at electron-positron colliders with energies in the range 6 to 20 GeV. Taking into account rare decay limits it should be

Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.
