A multilayer edge molecular electronics device (MEMED), which utilize the two metal electrodes of a metal-insulator-metal tunnel junction as the two electrical leads to molecular channels, can overcome the long standing fabrication challenges for ...

Lateral and Bottom Forces on Longshore Currents
A two-component electromagnetic flowmeter has been used on a natural beach of slope 0.01 to measure mean longshore currents and the horizontal fluctuating velocities in the frequency range 0-1 Hz. The measurements extend up to 120 m offshore and span about one third of a wide surf-zone.

Near-Bottom Velocities in Waves with a Current
Bakker (1974) developed a mathematical model concerning the sand concentration and velocity distribution in an oscillatory turbulent flow, with or without resultant current. The flow is assumed to be uniform in horizontal direction. The present paper reports on an experimental verification of this theory.

YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

RRS James Clark Ross, December 18, 2002–January 4, 2003. ACCLAIM: Sea level measurements in the Drake Passage [PDF]
ACCLAIM Bottom Pressure Recorders have been used for making measurements of the Antarctic Circumpolar Current (ACC) since 1988, initially in the Scotia Sea and then later the Drake Passage between the Falkland Islands and the Antarctic peninsula. Some of

This study characterizes the responses of primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patient samples to the MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665. The results revealed that monocytic differentiation is associated with MIK665 sensitivity. Conversely, elevated ABCB1 expression is a potential biomarker of resistance to the treatment, which can be overcome by the combination ...

Force plates are commonly used in tank testing to measure loads acting on the foundation of a structure. These targeted measurements are overlaid by the hydrostatic and dynamic pressure acting on the force plate induced by the waves and currents.

Fermionic Corrections to the Three-Loop Matching Coefficient of the Vector Current
In this paper we consider the matching coefficient of the vector current between Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) and Non-Relativistic QCD (NRQCD) to three-loop order in perturbation theory.

Intertwined order and holography: the case of the parity breaking pair density wave [PDF]
We present a minimal bottom-up extension of the Chern-Simons bulk action for holographic translational symmetry breaking that naturally gives rise to pair density waves.

Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.
