Higher twist corrections to doubly-charmed baryonic B decays

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Baryonic two-body B mesons decays have been measured experimentally for some time, which provides an excellent ground for studying the QCD of baryonic B decays.

Nuclear suppression of heavy quark production at forward rapidities in relativistic heavy ion collisions

open access: yes, 2010
We calculate nuclear suppression $R_{AA}$ of heavy quarks produced from the initial fusion of partons in nucleus-nucleus collisions at RHIC and LHC energies.

Effect of incineration, co‐incineration and combustion on TSE hazards in category 1 animal by‐products

open access: yesEFSA Journal, Volume 23, Issue 5, May 2025.
Abstract The European Commission requested EFSA to assess the effect of incineration, co‐incineration and combustion of Category 1 animal by‐products (ABP) on the BSE/TSE hazards in ash resulting from these treatments. The presence of residual TSE hazards is assessed by detection of prion infectivity or seeding activity.

Search for single production of vector-like quarks decaying to a Z boson and a top or a bottom quark in proton-proton collisions at sqrt(s) = 13 TeV [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
A search for single production of vector-like quarks, T and B, decaying into a Z boson and a top or a bottom quark, respectively, is presented. The search is performed using data collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC in proton-proton collisions at ...

Bottom and charm quark masses from lattice NRQCD [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics B - Proceedings Supplements, 1999
We present new values for the $\bar{MS}$ masses of $b$ and $c$ quarks based on lattice NRQCD simulations of the $ (b\bar{b})$ and $ (c\bar{c})$ systems. These include three measurements of the $b$ mass based on quenched simulations with lattice spacings ranging from 0.05fm to 0.15fm, which we find to be largely independent of lattice spacing.

Use of Kefir in Cheese Ball Production: Physicochemical, Textural, Rheological, and Sensory Properties

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 4, April 2025.
In this study, we produced cheese balls by mixing kefir with white cheese in different ratios (0%–25%–50%–75%–100%) to improve the consumption diversity of kefir, and the physicochemical, textural, rheological, and sensory properties of cheese ball samples were examined.

Search for the Standard Model Higgs boson produced by vector-boson fusion in 8 TeV pp collisions and decaying to bottom quarks with the ATLAS detector

open access: yes, 2016
A search with the ATLAS detector is presented for the Standard Model Higgs boson produced by vector-boson fusion and decaying to a pair of bottom quarks, using 20.2 ${fb}^{-1}$ of LHC proton--proton collision data at $\sqrt{s}$ = 8 TeV.

Progress in bottom-quark fragmentation

open access: yes, 2005
I review recent progress on bottom-quark fragmentation in e+e- annihilation, top-quark decay and H -> b bbar processes. I discuss the implementation of collinear and soft resummation, and the inclusion of non-perturbative information taken from LEP and SLD data.

Detailed SU(3) flavour symmetry analysis of charmless two-body B-meson decays including factorizable corrections

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We study the decays of B (s) mesons into light pseudoscalar mesons under the SU(3) flavour symmetry. Assuming exact SU(3) symmetry at the level of the amplitudes leads to a simple parametrisation.

Heavy Meson Physics: What have we learned in Twenty Years?

open access: yes, 2004
I give a personal account of the development of the field of heavy quarks. After reviewing the experimental discovery of charm and bottom quarks, I describe how the field's focus shifted towards determination of CKM elements and how this has matured into
