Based on explicitly gauge invariant interpolating operators we compute complete next-leading order QED-corrections for leptonic decays. These are sizeable since the helicity-suppression in V-A interactions allows for structure-dependent collinear logs ...

Higgs Boson Production with Bottom Quarks at Hadron Colliders
We present results for the production cross section of a Higgs Boson with a pair of bottom/anti-bottom quarks, including next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD corrections.Comment: 3 pages, 2 figures, uses ws-ijmpa.cls. Talk given by C.B.

Process and individuation (on speculative realism and becoming)
Abstract Recent developments in the continental tradition have taken a realist turn that reveals an oscillation between, on the one hand, an ontology of virtuality that thinks of reality as process and continuum (albeit a continuum of differences or events) and, on the other hand, the resurgence of an ontology of objects and essences guided by the ...

A Scoping Review of Choice Architecture to Promote Healthy Nutrition in Health and Care Settings
ABSTRACT Introduction Poor diets are a remediable risk factor for non‐communicable diseases. Sickness absence rates for national health service (NHS) staff are substantially higher than the public sector average (5.6% vs. 3.6%). Hospital inpatients are often being treated for the downstream consequences of poor diets.

Weak corrections to associated Higgs-bottom quark production [PDF]
In models with an enhanced coupling of the Higgs boson to the bottom quark, the dominant production mechanism in hadronic collisions is often the partonic sub-process, bg ->bH. We derive the weak corrections to this process and show that they can be accurately approximated by an "Improved Born Approximation".

Search for heavy bottom-like quarks in 4.9 fb^(-1) of pp collisions at √s = 7 TeV [PDF]
Results are presented from a search for heavy bottom-like quarks, pair-produced in pp collisions at √s=7 TeV, undertaken with the CMS experiment at the LHC. The b′ quarks are assumed to decay exclusively to tW.

The relativistic six-quark equations are found in the framework of the dispersion relation technique. The approximate solutions of these equations using the method based on the extraction of leading singularities of the heavy hexaquark amplitudes are ...

ABSTRACT Oxygen delivery and utilization to working muscle(s) are essential for sustained exercise performance. Higher contractile loads can occlude intramuscular blood vessels, limiting oxygen perfusion, while lighter loads minimize occlusion and allow perfusion.

Search for third-generation leptoquarks and scalar bottom quarks in pp collisions at sqrt(s) = 7 TeV [PDF]
Results are presented from a search for third-generation leptoquarks and scalar bottom quarks in a sample of proton-proton collisions at sqrt(s) = 7 TeV collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.7 inverse ...

BOTTOM QUARK PRODUCTION CROSS-SECTION AT HERA-B [PDF]
The cross-section for bottom quark production is calculated for the HERA-B experiment. We consider both the order [Formula: see text] cross-section and the resummation of soft gluon corrections in all orders of QCD perturbation theory.
