Nuclear Physics in the Era of Quantum Computing and Quantum Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 8, Issue 12, December 2025.
The use of QML in the realm of nuclear physics at low energy is almost nonexistent. Three examples of the use of quantum computing and quantum machine in nuclear physics are presented: the determination of the phase/shape in nuclear models, the calculation of the ground state energy, and the identification of particles in nuclear physics experiments ...

Complementary constraints on Zb b ¯ $$ Zb\overline{b} $$ couplings at the LHC

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We propose a new strategy to probe the Z boson couplings to bottom and charm quarks at the LHC. In this work we mainly focus on the case of bottom quarks. Here, the Z boson is produced in association with two b-jets and decays to electrons or muons.

Heavy quark production at RHIC and LHC within a partonic transport model

open access: yes, 2010
The production and space-time evolution of charm and bottom quarks in nucleus-nucleus collisions at RHIC and LHC are investigated with the partonic transport model BAMPS (Boltzmann Approach of MultiParton Scatterings).

Radiation Transport Through the Martian Atmosphere as a Function of the Zenith Angle

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Planets, Volume 130, Issue 12, December 2025.
Abstract The topographic influence of the radiation environment on the Martian surface radiation is crucial for future human exploration. Topographic maps help assess radiation flux variations, aiding in hazard evaluation. Creating a global radiation map requires accounting for seasonally varying atmospheric density, heliospheric modulation, and ...

Electric dipole moments of baryons with bottom quarks

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2022
Triggered by experimental prospects to measure electromagnetic dipole moments of baryons containing a bottom quark, we calculate the CP-odd electric dipole moments (EDMs) of spin-1/2 single-bottom baryons. We consider CP-violating dimension-six operators in the Standard Model Effective Field Theory that involve bottom quarks, and apply heavy-baryon ...

Exploring the Phytochemical and Physical Stability of Phycocyanin, Anthocyanins, and Betacyanin in a Cheesecake Product

open access: yesMolecular Nutrition &Food Research, Volume 69, Issue 21, November 2025.
Phycocyanin, anthocyanins, and betacyanin were tested with various sweeteners (sucrose, fructose, dextrose, xylitol, sorbitol) to assess their impact on color retention, antioxidant activity, and sensory properties. Key parameters investigated include pigment degradation, antioxidant performance, color measurements, and consumer acceptability, offering

Excited bottom and bottom-strange mesons in the quark model [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2016
In order to understand the possible $q\bar{q}$ quark-model assignments of the $B_J(5840)$ and $B_J(5960)$ recently reported by the LHCb Collaboration, we evaluate mass spectra, strong decays, and radiative decays of bottom and bottom-strange mesons in a nonrelativistic quark model.

Nonleptonic B-meson decays to next-to-next-to-leading order

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We compute next-to-next-to-leading order QCD corrections to the partonic processes b → c u ¯ d $$ c\overline{u}d $$ and b → c c ¯ s $$ c\overline{c}s $$ , which constitute the dominant decay channels in standard model predictions for B-meson lifetimes ...
