In‐Field Validity and Inter‐Unit Variability of Metabolic Carts During Simulated Exercise

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Medicine &Science in Sports, Volume 36, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT The present study had three main objectives: (a) to evaluate the in‐field validity of different commercially available cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) systems when used by end‐users following typical calibration procedures, (b) to measure the variability in accuracy among identical CPET units, and (c) to explore the relationship ...

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Swampland: The Cosmologist's Handbook to the String‐Theoretical Swampland Programme

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 74, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract String theory has strong implications for cosmology, implying the absence of a cosmological constant, ruling out single‐field slow‐roll inflation, and that black holes decay. The origins of these statements are elucidated within the string‐theoretical swampland programme.

On bottom mixing with exotic quarks [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2000
In this paper we present a calculation of the effects of bottom mixing with new exotic quarks in the forward-backward and left-right asymmetries, the bottom branching ratio and the QCD coupling constant. A global fit with the recent data on these quantities is done and stringent bounds are obtained.

Revisiting semileptonic B meson decays at next-to-next-to-leading order

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We compute next-to-next-to-leading order corrections to the semileptonic decay rate of B mesons for arbitrary values of the final-state quark mass. For the contribution with one massive quark in the final state, we extend the literature result and obtain

Three-Body Decays of Top and Bottom Squarks

open access: yes, 2000
We investigate the decays of third generation scalar quarks in the Minimal Supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model, focusing on the three-body modes.

Top quark associated production of topcolor pions at hadron colliders [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
We investigate the associated production of a neutral physical pion with top quarks in the context of topcolor assisted technicolor. We find that single-top associated production does not yield viable rates at either the Tevatron or LHC.

Plate tectonics in the microscopy realm: Molecular insights into morphological variability of Peridinium willei (Peridiniales, Dinophyceae)

open access: yesTAXON, Volume 75, Issue 2, April 2026.
Abstract Freshwater Peridinium willei (Peridiniaceae) is globally distributed, but reports linking its morphologies with DNA sequence data remain scarce. The taxonomy of the species, and its infraspecific taxa, remain ambiguous due to the lack of DNA sequence data for the original and type material.

Search for a charged Higgs boson decaying to charm and bottom quarks in proton-proton collisions at s=8$$ \sqrt{s}=8 $$ TeV

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
A bstractA search for charged Higgs boson decaying to a charm and a bottom quark (H+→cb¯$$ {\mathrm{H}}^{+}\to \mathrm{c}\overline{\mathrm{b}} $$) is performed using 19.7 fb−1 of pp collision data at s=8$$ \sqrt{s}=8 $$ TeV.

The forward-backward asymmetry for massive bottom quarks at the Z peak at next-to-next-to-leading order QCD [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
A bstractWe compute the order αs2 QCD corrections to the b-quark forward-backward asymmetry in e+e−→bb¯$$ {e}^{+}{e}^{-}\to b\overline{b} $$ collisions at the Z boson resonance, taking the non-zero mass of the b quark into account.
