Glycosides fromBougainvillea glabra
Natural Product Research, 2006Three glycosides were isolated from Bougainvillea glabra and their structures were determined by extensive use of 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy ((1)H and (13)C). First compound was identical to momordin IIc (quinoside D) [beta-D-glucopyranosyl 3-O-[beta-D-xylopyranosyl-(1 --> 3)-O-(beta-D-glucopyranosyluronic acid)] oleanolate], second compound was ...

Betacyanins from bracts of Bougainvillea glabra
Phytochemistry, 1994Betacyanins from the bracts of Bougainvillea glabra were isolated and characterized by a combination of spectroscopic techniques (DAD-HPLC, NMR, LC-MS, GC-MS, electrospray MS, tandem MS) as gomphrenin I (betanidin 6-O-beta-glucoside) and various derivatives of bougainvillein-v (betanidin 6-O-beta-sophoroside), i.e.

We report the first full-length genome of a Bougainvillea chlorotic vein banding virus, isolate BCVBV-UNB-01, causing leaf yellowing in a Bougainvillea spectabilis from Brasilia, Brazil. The genome, recovered using high throughput sequencing (Illumina HiSeq) and Sanger, consisted of 8665 nucleotides and four typical badnavirus ORFs: ORF I with 456 nt ...
