Leaftronics: Bio‐Fractal Scaffolds From Leaf Venation for Low‐Waste Electronics
“Leaftronics” transforms naturally evolved leaf venation into quasi‐fractal scaffolds for sustainable electronics. Polymer‐infiltrated leaf skeletons can be used to fabricate ultra‐smooth, reflow‐ and thin‐film‐compatible decomposable substrates, while making the same lignocellulose networks conducting results in flexible transparent electrodes.

Receiver-Driven Adaptive Enhancement Layer Switching Algorithm for Scalable Video Transmission Over Link-adaptive Networks [PDF]
A receiver-driven adaptive layer switching algorithm is proposed for adapting the video bitrate to match the achievable network throughput. It relies on a QoS-constrained equivalent bandwidth estimator employed at the receiver, which is used for ...

Phase Engineering of Atomically Precise Nanoclusters (APNCs) of Gold and Beyond
Engineering the structural phase of materials is of paramount importance for both fundamental research and practical applications. In this Review, we summarize the recent progress in controlling the phases of atomically precise nanoclusters (APNCs) of gold, silver and copper, as well as bimetallic systems. The phase‐enabled material properties of APNCs

We address the inherently weak particle adhesion of conventional air filters by coating a dynamically crosslinked adhesive layer that delivers capillarity‐driven strong adhesion and particle absorption mediated by dynamic bond exchange. The resulting enhancement in particle adhesion enables efficient ultrafast (up to 20 m s−1) and omnidirectional ...

Effects of surface profile on a boundary-driven acoustic streaming field
Control of boundary-driven streaming in acoustofluidic systems is vital for various microfluidic applications either to generate it as a positive mechanism (e.g. microfluidic mixing, heat/mass transfer and fluid pumping) or suppressing it as an undesired

Sheetflow sediment transport modeling including boundary layer streaming
A two-phase sheetflow sediment transport model is extended to account for boundary layer streaming due to the horizontal non-uniformity present in real-world progressive waves.
