Derivation of the GKP-Witten relation by symmetry without Lagrangian
We derive the GKP-Witten relation in terms of correlation functions by symmetry without referring to a Lagrangian or the large N expansion. By constructing bulk operators from boundary operators in conformal field theory (CFT) by the conformal smearing ...

The natural boundary conditions as a variational basis for finite element methods
Variational formulations that can be employed in the approximation of boundary value problems involving essential and natural boundary conditions are presented in this paper.

In this paper, generalized Green’s functions for second-order discrete boundaryvalue problems with nonlocal boundary conditions are investigated, where the necessary and sufficient existence condition of discrete Green’s function is not satisfied and ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

We initiate a study of the boundary version of the square-lattice Q-state Potts antiferromagnet, with Q ∈ [0, 4] real, motivated by the fact that the continuum limit of the corresponding bulk model is a non-compact CFT, closely related with the SL(2, ℝ ...

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Vector fitting realisation of exact time domain modal nonreflecting boundary condition [PDF]
To employ the modal nonreflecting boundary condition (MNRBC) in cylindrical coordinates in the finite element time domain (FETD) method, a time domain kernel expression must be found that it is the inverse Laplace transform (ILT) of a known frequency ...

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

On boundary values of plurisubharmonic functions
In this paper we describe how boundary values of bounded plurisubharmonic functions can be defined in terms of measures with support on the boundary.
