On the integral equation of an adjoint boundary value problem of heat conduction

open access: yesҚарағанды университетінің хабаршысы. Математика сериясы, 2019
An integral equation is considered, to which a nonhomogeneous first boundary value problem with an adjoint heat conduction operator is reduced. The problem is set in an infinite plane angle, that is, a boundary of the domain moves with a constant ...

PENENTUAN JENIS FUNGSI BASIS RADIAL DALAM DUAL RECIPROCITY BOUNDARY ELEMENT METHOD

open access: yesMajalah Ilmiah Matematika dan Statistika, 2021
Problems involving modified Helmholtz equation are considered in this paper. To solve the problem numerically, dual reciprocity boundary element method (DRBEM) is employed.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Trial methods for Bernoulli's free boundary problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Free boundary problems deal with solving partial differential equations in a domain, a part of whose boundary is unknown – the so-called free boundary. Beside the standard boundary conditions that are needed in order to solve the partial differential ...

A computing method for bending problem of thin plate on Pasternak foundation

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2020
The governing equation of the bending problem of simply supported thin plate on Pasternak foundation is degraded into two coupled lower order differential equations using the intermediate variable, which are a Helmholtz equation and a Laplace equation. A

On Numerical Solutions of Boundary Integral Equations

open access: yesBulletin of JSME, 1985
Elastic boundary value problems can be formulated in the form of boundary integral equations, whose numerical solutions are obtained by boundary element methods. This paper deals with error estimation of boundary element solutions. Especially, approximate solutions obtained by constant or linear elements are investigated for cases of two-dimensional ...

Wavelet Galerkin Algorithms for Boundary Integral Equations [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Scientific Computing, 1999
This very interesting and informative paper is directed to one of the important problems in applying wavelets to boundary integral equations: How can the asymptotic estimates for optimal compression, which means a priori neglecting of specific matrix entries, be transfered to realizable at least nearly optimal, i.e.

An unexpected alternative viologen electron mediator site in tungsten‐containing formate dehydrogenase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Piecewise Polynomial Collocation for Boundary Integral Equations [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Scientific Computing, 1995
The authors consider the numerical solution of the Laplace equation: (i) in the interior of a simply connected region \(D \subset \mathbb{R}^3\) with Dirichlet boundary condition and (ii) in the exterior of \(D\) with Neumann boundary condition. The boundary \(S\) of \(D\) is either smooth or piecewise smooth.
