Nontransparent boundaries in quantum field theory
Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1992Abstract In quantum field theory a boundary which is totally transparent to a noninteracting field φ ceases to be so when φ is coupled to a second field constrained by that boundary.

Mixed boundary conditions in quantum field theory
Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1991When quantum field theory is formulated in terms of transition amplitudes between initial and final configurations, it is important to impose mathematically consistent boundary conditions on the fields. The choice of boundary conditions is also important when dealing with elliptic complexes and index theorems on bounded manifolds.

QUANTUM LIOUVILLE FIELD THEORY ON A MANIFOLD WITH BOUNDARY
Modern Physics Letters A, 1998This letter studies the quantum Liouville field theory on a manifold with boundary. The boundary conformal Ward identity (CWI) is written and its semiclassical approximation is analyzed. This establishes a method of finding the accessory parameters of the theory with boundary.

Determinants of Elliptic Boundary Problems in Quantum Field Theory
2001We review some recent advances in understanding the zeta determinant of an elliptic boundary value problem for the Dirac operator. We discuss a recent adiabatic pasting formula for the determinant with respect to a partition of the underlying manifold, and outline some of the applications to geometric anomalies.

Aspects of Integrable Quantum Field Theories with Boundaries
2001The purpose of the talk is to give the flavour of a dynamical argument which makes use of boundary states in order to calculate the dependence of certain quantities, such as reflection factors, on the coupling constants introduced at a boundary by integrable boundary conditions. The idea is to consider the boundary state spectrum from two complementary

Perturbation Method for Boundary S-Matrix in 2D Quantum Field Theory
Modern Physics Letters A, 1997We develop a perturbation theory for evaluating the boundary S-matrix in 2D quantum field theory. We apply this approach to calculate the one-loop boundary S-matrix for the elementary particle of the sine–Gordon model with a boundary interaction. Our perturbative result agrees with the exact expression of the S-matrix conjectured by Goshal; it also ...
