Morphology and Development of Bovine Ephemeral Fever Virus [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Virology, 1970
The development of the virus of bovine ephemeral fever in mouse brain has been studied by electron microscopy. The virus particles are bullet-shaped, 70 by 145 nm, and slightly tapered toward the rounded end. The outer envelope is closely apposed to an electron-dense shell, about 12 nm thick, but no other internal structure is visible.

Data on production of mammalian stable cells expressing secretory BEFV transmembrane deleted G protein

open access: yesData in Brief, 2019
Generation of stable cell lines is a widely used technique for continuous recombinant protein production. Advantages of the constitutive stable over the transient protein expression are uniformity of the expression across cell populations as well as high

Short-Term Humoral Immune Response of the pcDNA4-G Plasmid Expressing the Bovine Ephemeral Fever Virus G Gene in BALB/c Mice

open access: yesVeterinaria Italiana, 2021
Bovine ephemeral fever (BEF) is an arthropod‑borne viral disease characterised by a short‑term clinical expression that can lead to significant losses in high‑yielding cattle and water buffaloes.

PHYSICO - CHEMICAL CHARACTERS OF LOCALLY ISOLATED BOVINE EPHEMERAL FEVER VIRUS (BEFV) [PDF]

open access: yesVeterinary Medical Journal - Giza, 2007
locally isolated strain of bovine ephemeral fever virus particles from outbreak in native breed 2000-2001 was examined by electron microscope and showed bullet or cone shaped, with an average length of 140-180 nm and diameter of 45-85 nm after passage

COMPARATIVE CLINICAL AND EPIDEMIOLOGICAL STUDIES ON BOVINE EPHEMERAL FEVER IN SAKHA FARM, KAFR EL-SHEIKH, EGYPT [PDF]

open access: yesAssiut Veterinary Medical Journal, 2005
Bovine ephemeral fever (BEF) is an endemic disease in Egypt, where several epidemics were occurred in the last 15 years. So, this study was aimed to discuss some epidemiological and clinical aspects related to the disease in Sakha station, Kafr El-Sheik,

RNF138‐Mediated Ubiquitination and Degradation of NS5 Restricts Tick‐Borne Encephalitis Virus Infection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Host‐specific compatibility between RNF138‐like proteins and flavivirus NS5 determines NS5 stability. Mammalian RNF138 but not arthropod homologs recognizes and induces conserved NS5/RdRp K48‐linked ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation, thereby restricting viral replication. Ectopic RNF138 in mice attenuates TBEV‐induced pathogenesis. (Created in

ZNF33B Promotes Japanese Encephalitis Virus Infection by Regulating the Stability of M6A‐Modified Trim25 to Control the Autophagy Process

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Upon JEV infection, ZNF33B recruits METTL14 to stabilize the METTL3‐METTL14 m6A methyltransferase complex, leading to increased m6A modification of host transcripts, including Trim25 mRNA. ZNF33B selectively binds m6A‐modified sites on Trim25 mRNA and accelerates its decay, resulting in reduced TRIM25 protein abundance.

Reorganization of Innate Immune Cell Lipid Profiles by Bioinspired Meroterpenoids to Limit Inflammation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Resolution pharmacology is an emerging strategy to tackle inflammatory pathologies. Bioinspired meroterpenoids induce a lipid mediator class switch toward inflammation resolution in vitro and in vivo by targeting key nodes in lipid mediator biosynthesis and neutral lipid dynamics.

Histidine Supplementation Stabilizes Hearing and Vision and Improves Growth in HARS1‐Related Autosomal Recessive Disorder Associated With Usher‐Like Symptoms

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Autosomal recessive HARS1‐related disorder (originally described as Usher syndrome type 3B) caused by a homozygous Y454S variant in the histidyl‐tRNA synthetase gene (HARS1) is characterized by progressive sensorineural hearing and vision loss and respiratory deterioration with risk for sudden death following febrile illnesses.

EPIDEMIOLOGICAL STUDIES OF TWO OUTBREAKS OF BOVINE EPHEMERAL FEVER IN MIDDLE EGYPT [PDF]

open access: yesVeterinary Medical Journal - Giza, 2007
In two epidemics of bovine ephemeral fever (BEF) in Egypt, one in 2000 and the other in 2001, the virus was probably carried by vectors transported by air currents across the neighboring countries and through red sea or across Suez Canal trough.
