R17 Drives Heparan Sulfate Clearance via Endolysosomal Trafficking
R17 is a viral protein that binds heparan sulfate glycosaminoglycans and traffics them to the lysosome, leading to their degradation in a manner that does not require the presence of the cation‐independent mannose‐6‐phosphatre receptor. In BxPC3 pancreatic cancer cells, this loss in heparan sulfate results in the reduction of cell migration.

RNF213 is characterized as a dual‐functional antiviral effector. It directly mediates the degradation of the influenza A virus nucleoprotein (NP) while simultaneously activating the MDA5‐mediated innate immune signaling pathway. This coordinated response establishes a powerful host defense system against viral infection. ABSTRACT Influenza A virus (IAV)

Identification and Characterization of the Bovine Herpesvirus 5 US4 Gene and Gene Products
The BHV-5 strain N569 (BHV-5/N569) homolog to the BHV-1 US4 gene was sequenced and characterized. RNA analyses showed that a 1.8-kb mRNA which contains the BHV-5/N569 US4 open reading frame initiates 55 nucleotides upstream from the predicted translational start codon and terminates 17 nucleotides downstream from the consensus sequence for ...

This study performs pan‐viromic profiling of 14,529 samples from 5,710 domestic herbivores across five Chinese provinces, establishing the DhCN‐Virome (1,085,360 viral metagenomes). It reveals species/sample‐specific viromic signatures and cross‐species transmission dynamics, aiding unified disease control.

Detection of bovine herpesvirus 1 and 5 in semen from Brazilian bulls
Bovine herpesvirus 1 (BoHV-1) and 5 (BoHV-5) are important pathogens of the respiratory and genital tract of cattle and may also affect the central nervous system and cause meningoencephalitis. Both virus types are estimated to be widely distributed in Southern Brazil. In the present study, BoHV-1 and/or BoHV-5 DNA were detected in bovine semen samples

ABSTRACT Bovine leukemia virus (BLV), an oncogenic deltaretrovirus, establishes lifelong infection in cattle and induces enzootic bovine leukosis in a subset of animals following prolonged latency. Despite extensive evidence of immune dysregulation, stage‐specific transcriptional reprogramming of B cells, the primary viral reservoir remains ...
