Evolução da imunidade passiva contra o herpesvírus bovino tipo 1 Evolution of passive immunity against bovine herpesvirus type 1

Antiviral Property of the Fungal Metabolite 3-O-Methylfunicone in Bovine Herpesvirus 1 Infection

open access: yesMicroorganisms, 2022
Bovine herpesvirus type-1 (BoHV-1) is a widespread pathogen that provokes infectious rhinotracheitis and polymicrobial infections in cattle, resulting in serious economic losses to the farm animal industry and trade restrictions.

Parenteral Antioxidant Supplementation at Birth Improves the Response to Intranasal Vaccination in Newborn Dairy Calves

open access: yesAntioxidants, 2021
Newborn calves experience oxidative stress throughout the first month of their life, which is known to decrease lymphocyte functions relevant to vaccine responsiveness.

BoHV-1-Vectored BVDV-2 Subunit Vaccine Induces BVDV Cross-Reactive Cellular Immune Responses and Protects against BVDV-2 Challenge

open access: yesVaccines, 2021
The bovine respiratory disease complex (BRDC) remains a major problem for both beef and dairy cattle industries worldwide. BRDC frequently involves an initial viral respiratory infection resulting in immunosuppression, which creates a favorable condition

Logical Description of Bovine Herpesvirus Type 1 Latent Infection

open access: yesJournal of General Virology, 1986
Description of the interactions between bovine herpesvirus type 1 (BHV-1) and cattle was performed by the method known as kinetic logic. This logical formalization uses variables with two possible values, 1 and 0, which tell whether an element is present or not at a significant level. To each variable is associated a function which tells if the element

Molecular and Serological Survey of Selected Viruses in Free-Ranging Wild Ruminants in Iran.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2016
A molecular and serological survey of selected viruses in free-ranging wild ruminants was conducted in 13 different districts in Iran. Samples were collected from 64 small wild ruminants belonging to four different species including 25 Mouflon (Ovis ...

Development of a sandwich ELISA for the detection of bovine herpesvirus type 1

open access: yesAsian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine, 2011
To develop a standard enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the detection of bovine herpesvirus type 1 (BHV-1).The assay was based on hyperimmune rabbit and guinea pig antisera raised against purified BHV-1. Polyethylene glycol precipitation and sucrose density gradient methods were adopted for viral concentration and purification.

A Comparison of the Genomes of Bovine Herpesvirus Type 1 and Pseudorabies Virus

open access: yesJournal of General Virology, 1985
The DNA sequence homology between bovine herpesvirus type 1 (BHV-1) and pseudorabies virus (PRV) was examined. Reciprocal cross-hybridization of viral DNA labelled by nick translation to Southern blots of restriction endonuclease-digested DNA detected homologous sequences dispersed throughout the genomes of the two viruses.

Prevalência de anticorpos neutralizantes contra o herpesvírus bovino tipo 1, decorrente de infecção natural, em rebanhos com distúrbios reprodutivos Prevalence of neutralizing antibodies against bovine herpesvirus type 1, due natural infection, in herds with reproductive problems

The Host Cell Factor Phosphatase‐2A Subunit PR130 Restricts Replication of Herpes Simplex Virus Type‐1

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Molecular, genetic, virological, and biochemical analysis in combination with global proteome and phosphoproteome profiling and functional assays were applied to study the role of PR130 in the context of HSV‐1 replication. The observations reveal that host‐intrinsic mechanisms regulate HSV‐1 replication and highlight PR130 as a susceptibility factor of
