Vaccination directed against the human endogenous retrovirus-K envelope protein inhibits tumor growth in a murine model system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Human endogenous retrovirus (HERV) genomes are chromosomally integrated in all cells of an individual. They are normally transcriptionally silenced and transmitted only vertically. Enhanced expression of HERV-K accompanied by the emergence of anti-HERV-K-

Single‐Cell Mitochondrial Lineage Tracing Decodes Fate Decision and Spatial Clonal Architecture in Human Hematopoietic Organoids

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study repurposes mitochondrial DNA mutations as endogenous barcodes for lineage tracing in human pluripotent stem cell‐derived organoids. Integrated with transcriptomic and spatial data, it reveals NOTCH‐mediated stromal‐progenitor crosstalk orchestrates clonal dynamics and spatial zonation during early hematopoietic development, offering a non ...

Oxidized low-density lipoprotein inhibits hepatitis C virus cell entry in human hepatoma cells. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Cell entry of hepatitis C virus, pseudoparticles (HCVpp) and cell culture grown virus (HCVcc), requires the interaction of viral glycoproteins with CD81 and other as yet unknown cellular factors.

Targeting WTAP/ROR1/WNT5A‐Mediated Crosstalk Between Glioma Stem Cells and Macrophages to Normalize Tumor Vasculature and Enhance Chemotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In hypoxic microenvironment, WNT5A is predominantly secreted by tumor‐associated macrophages. Hypoxia‐induced WTAP mediates ROR1 stability by m6A modifications in a HuR‐dependent manner in Glioma stem cells (GSCs). WNT5A activates the WNT pathway via ROR1 binding on GSCs, driving glioma‐derived endothelial cells (GDECs) differentiation.

Pathogenicity of molecularly cloned bovine leukemia virus [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Virology, 1993
To delineate the mechanisms of bovine leukemia virus (BLV) pathogenesis, four full-length BLV clones, 1, 8, 9, and 13, derived from the transformed cell line FLK-BLV and a clone construct, pBLV913, were introduced into bovine spleen cells by microinjection.

Expression of interleukin 2 receptors on activated human B cells. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
Using anti-Tac, a monoclonal anti-interleukin 2 (IL-2) receptor antibody, we have explored the possibility that certain activated B cells display receptors for IL-2.

A Genetic Locus Regulates the Expression of Tissue-Specific mRNAs from Multiple Transcription Units [PDF]

open access: yes, 1982
129 GIX- mice, unlike animals of the congeneic partner strain GIX+, do not express significant amounts of the retroviral antigens gp70 and p30. Evidence is presented indicating that the GIX phenotype is specified by a distinct regulatory gene acting on ...

Dual Aptamers‐Based SETDB1 PROTACs as Effective Anti‐Tumor Strategies for Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study establishes dual‐aptamer PROTACs targeting SETDB1 using a SETDB1‐specific aptamer conjugated to AS1411. The designed PROTACs penetrate cells, recruit MDM2 to degrade SETDB1, and inhibit cancer cell proliferation and migration. Remarkably, they also overcome tamoxifen resistance and enhance CD8+ T cell cytotoxicity, suppressing tumor growth ...

Homologies entre les deux rétrovirus BLV et HTLV-1 et développement d’une nouvelle approche thérapeutique basée sur la levée de la latence virale [PDF]

open access: yesBiotechnologie, Agronomie, Société et Environnement, 2007
Homologies between BLV and HTLV-1 retroviruses and development of a novel therapeutic approach based on induction of viral expression. BLV (bovine leukemia virus) and HTLV-1 (human T-cell leukemia virus) are related retroviruses inducing leukemia (BLV ...

The Potential Roles of Long Noncoding RNAs (lncRNA) in Glioblastoma Development [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) may contribute to the initiation and progression of tumor. In this study, we first systematically compared lncRNA and mRNA expression between glioblastoma and paired normal brain tissues using microarray data.
