Cereal Biomass Valorization for Functional Food Ingredients: Fractionation and Circular Biorefinery Strategies

open access: yesComprehensive Reviews in Food Science and Food Safety, Volume 25, Issue 6, November 2026.
ABSTRACT Food processing must transition toward resource‐efficient systems that operate within planetary boundaries. Cereals, as climate‐resilient staples, offer strong potential to valorize nutrient‐rich fractions. Zero‐waste biorefinery concepts and green fractionation technologies, integrated with structure–function principles, enable the conversion

Process Optimization of Solution Blow Spinning for Poly (N‐Isopropylacrylamide) Fibers

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 143, Issue 40, October 20, 2026.
Solution blow spinning has emerged as a safe and scalable technique for fabricating thermoresponsive PNIPAM fibers. The influence of key parameters on jet stability and fiber uniformity is determined through both rheological analysis and statistical process optimization. A Box–Behnken design reveals an optimized window for producing PNIPAM fibers below

Textile‐Based Capacitive Pressure Sensors Enabled by Ultrasonic Spray‐Coated Carbon Black Electrodes and Electrostatic Flocking

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 13, Issue 19, 6 October 2026.
A 4‐layer Kevlar‐based composite is fabricated by combining ultrasonic spraying and electrostatic flocking. Carbon black dispersion is first deposited onto Kevlar fabric to create a conductive electrode. Nylon fibers are then electrostatically flocked onto the coated fabric, forming a dielectric layer.

Response Surface Optimization of Ultrasound‐Assisted Deep Eutectic Solvent Extraction of Bioactive Polysaccharides From Sword Bean (Canavalia gladiata (Jacq.) DC.) Pods

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 10, October 2026.
The polysaccharide from sword been pods (CGPs‑1) demonstrates potent antioxidant activity through DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging (IC50: 31.18 and 2.264 mg/mL), inhibits key carbohydrate‑hydrolyzing enzymes including α‑amylase and α‑glucosidase (IC50: 0.083 and 0.157 mg/mL), reduces MPTP‐induced neuroinflammation in zebrafish embryos (0.1–0.4 mg/mL ...
