Isolation of Degrees of Freedom for Box—Behnken Designs

Technometrics, 1994
The Box–Behnken three-level designs have proved useful for fitting second-order response surfaces to experimental data. Here, we discuss an aspect of their value in the detection of lack of model fit. The degrees of freedom in excess of those needed to fit the model can be used advantageously for contrasts which estimate certain higher-order departures

Optimization and development of antidiabetic phytosomes by the Box–Behnken design

Journal of Liposome Research, 2017
Researchers have extensively reviewed on herbs and natural products for their marked clinical efficacy in some recent years, however, maximum of the newly discovered bioactive constituents offer poor bioavailability due to their large size molecules or to their poor miscibility with oils and lipids, thereby limiting their ability to pass across the ...

Box-Behnken experimental design for the production of precipitated calcium carbonate

Pure and Applied Chemistry, 2016
Abstract Calcium carbonate (CaCO3) was synthesized by means of ultrasonic process in the presence of the water-soluble polymer carboxymethyl inulin (CMI). Synthesized CaCO3 crystals were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and BET (Brunauer, Emmett and Teller) isotherm.

Application of Box–Behnken design for optimizing parameters of hexavalent chromium removal from aqueous solutions using Fe3O4 loaded on activated carbon prepared from alga: Kinetics and equilibrium study

Journal of Water Process Engineering, 2021
In the present paper, the Response Surface Methodology (RSM) was evaluated for optimizing the Hexavalent Chromium (Cr (VI)) removal efficiency using our synthesized adsorbent, i.e., Fe3O4-NPs loaded on activated carbon (AC-Fe3O4-NPs).
