Chlorine‐Free Depolymerization of Commercial PMMA via Oxygen‐Centered Radicals

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A new chlorine‐free photothermal method enables sustainable recycling of plastics with C–C backbones under mild conditions. Driven by an oxygen‐centered radical pathway with ppm levels of anthraquinone catalyst, it eliminates hazardous chlorinated solvents, achieving an impressive 97% depolymerization conversion.

Defining Features of Gabriele‐de Vries Syndrome in Adults: A Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Gabriele‐de Vries syndrome (GADEVS) is a neurodevelopmental disorder caused by heterozygous pathogenic variants in the YY1 gene. Like most rare genetic syndromes, the adult manifestations of GADEVS remain poorly defined. Here, we describe the oldest patient reported to date with GADEVS—a 63‐year‐old woman with a c.1177_1179del YY1 variant ...

A Novel Splice Variant in ERGIC1 Causes Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita—Characterization Using Urine‐Derived Cells

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part C: Seminars in Medical Genetics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Arthrogryposis multiplex congenita (AMC) is defined as the presence of joint contractures affecting at least two body regions at birth. Three different ERGIC1 variants have been reported in individuals with AMC. Here, we report on a 16‐year‐old male with a homozygous ERGIC1 c.250+1G>A variant that was classified as a variant of uncertain ...
