Conserved Gene Order and Adaptive Evolution in Mitochondrial Genomes of Calappa Crabs: Insights Into Ecological Specialization and Phylogenetic Utility [PDF]

This study presents the first complete mitochondrial genomes of five Calappa species, filling a critical gap in genomic resources for the family Calappidae. Our analyses confirm the monophyly of Calappidae, detect positive selection in key energy metabolism genes (ATP6, ND2, ND5), and reveal conserved gene arrangement patterns.

West African brachyuran crabs (Crustacea: Decapoda) [PDF]

The West African marine brachyuran crab fauna, comprising 218 named species in 120 genera and 26 familes, is surveyed. Sixteen new genera and 24 new species are recognized. Synonymies are updated for the tropical species, and all 300 + Eastern Atlantic species are listed.
