On brackets in translation (or how to elaborate in brackets)
This paper presents findings on the use of brackets in original texts and translations based on the Linnaeus University English-German-Swedish corpus (LEGS). The results show that in originals, brackets are the most frequent in English and the least in Swedish. Translations usually contain more brackets than originals.

Courant bracket as T-dual invariant extension of Lie bracket [PDF]
Abstract We consider the symmetries of a closed bosonic string, starting with the general coordinate transformations. Their generator takes vector components ξμ as its parameter and its Poisson bracket algebra gives rise to the Lie bracket of its parameters. We are going to extend this generator in order for it to be invariant upon

Unicity for representations of the Kauffman bracket skein algebra [PDF]
This paper resolves the unicity conjecture of Bonahon and Wong for the Kauffman bracket skein algebras of all oriented finite type surfaces at all roots of unity.

We review origins and main properties of the most important bracket operations appearing canonically in differential geometry and mathematical physics in the classical, as well as in the supergeometric setting. The review is supplemented by some new concepts and examples.

We introduce \textit{Kaestner brackets}, a generalization of biquandle brackets to the case of parity biquandles. This infinite set of quantum enhancements of the biquandle counting invariant for oriented virtual knots and links includes the classical quantum invariants, the quandle and biquandle $2$-cocycle invariants and the classical biquandle ...

Correlates of Narrow Bracketing [PDF]
AbstractBehavior often deviates from standard predictions because individuals evaluate the consequences of choices separately (i.e., narrow bracketing) rather than jointly. The main existing theories classify different narrow bracketing phenomena as either (i) choice errors caused by cognitive limitations, or (ii) strategies to achieve self‐control ...

Courant bracket twisted both by a 2-form $B$ and by a bi-vector $θ$ [PDF]
We obtain the Courant bracket twisted simultaneously by a 2-form $B$ and a bi-vector $\theta$ by calculating the Poisson bracket algebra of the symmetry generator in the basis obtained acting with the relevant twisting matrix. It is the extension of the Courant bracket that contains well known Schouten-Nijenhuis and Koszul bracket, as well as some new ...
