Brainstem auditory evoked potentials in hepatic encephalopathy
Hepatology, 1986Brainstem auditory evoked potentials were obtained from 30 patients primarily with viral hepatitis to determine the functional status of the brainstem in hepatic encephalopathy. The patients were divided into four groups: Group 1 with compensated hepatic diseases; Group 2 with hepatic failure but no hepatic encephalopathy ...

Auditory Brainstem Evoked Potentials in Patients with Migraine
Headache: The Journal of Head and Face Pain, 1987SYNOPSIS Auditory brainstem evoked potentials (ABEP's) using the routine 10 per second click rate, and also a 55 persecond stimulus rate, were studied in 17 migraine patients between and during attacks, and in 20 normal subjects.Only in the "migraine during attack" group did the increased stimulus rate change the ABEP's.

Brainstem auditory-evoked potentials.
Critical reviews in biomedical engineering, 1986Brainstem auditory-evoked potentials (BAEPs) are generated in the ear and brainstem nuclei of the ascending auditory pathways following a transient acoustic stimulus. Because they can be recorded noninvasively in humans, BAEPs have a number of clinical and research applications.

The Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potential in Infants and Children
Journal of Clinical Neurophysiology, 1992The brainstem auditory evoked potential (BAEP) is a neurophysiological study that provides functional information about the auditory system and brainstem. It provides information that is different from any other form of evaluation. This report tries to summarize technical and clinical information that will make the BAEP more meaningful for the ...

Normal Neonatal Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potentials
Annals of Otology, Rhinology & Laryngology, 1982Brainstem auditory evoked potentials present a unique opportunity to assess the neuronal and auditory status of the newborn. To date, sample data have been few in number, thereby limiting their interpretive value. The present study was undertaken in an effort to accrue data generated from a large sample size. One hundred fifty-five normal neonates were

Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potentials in Transtentorial Herniation
Clinical Electroencephalography, 1980Brainstem auditory evoked responses (BAER's) were recorded in patients exhibiting brainstem compression from supratentorial lesions. BAER's were altered in the early stages of herniation. In two cases the latencies returned to normal on treatment with steroids.

Noise Cancellation for Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potentials
IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, 1985A technique for cancelling background noise in sensory evoked potential recordings is described. Since sensory evoked potentials are generally much smaller than the background noise, a large number of individual responses must be averaged. The proposed technique uses a second recording channel to estimate the background noise; a cancellation filter ...

Field analysis of auditory evoked brainstem potentials
Hearing Research, 1986Surface distribution maps of auditory evoked brainstem potentials (AEBPs) are presented for time instants corresponding to the waves of major interest (I, III and V) in humans. Maps are shown to be fully consistent with the results of two approaches that have been recently proposed for the analysis of AEBPs, namely dipole localization methods and three-
