Brainstem auditory evoked potentials in Wilson's disease
Journal of the Neurological Sciences, 1990Twelve patients with Wilson's disease, aged 11-25 years, underwent brainstem auditory evoked potential (BAEP) study. The results were correlated to clinical, neuroradiological and laboratory data. Ten had prominent to severe neurological manifestations, suggestive of involvement of one or several CNS structures, and 2 were neurologically free.

All median latencies of waves III and V in the study group were significantly higher than those of the control children.

The Journal of Laryngology & Otology, 1987AbstractAuditory Brainstem Evoked Potentials (ABEP) were recorded from 53 adult subjects suffering from sudden deafness at the time of examination. The onset of sudden deafness was up to three years prior to the study. ABEP were recorded in response to 75 dBHL clicks presented at rates of 10/sec and 40/sec.

Clinical Electroencephalography, 1984To investigate the role of brainstem dysfunction in patients with dizziness, Brainstem Evoked Responses were recorded, and results of 100 such cases are presented. The present study further emphasizes the fact that dizziness is a symptom complex and careful evaluation of these patients is necessary.
