Abstract figure legend Calmodulin (CaM) is a ubiquitous calcium (Ca2+) sensor that translates intracellular Ca2+ signals into modulation of hundreds of effector proteins including ion channels. CaM is increasingly recognized as a key regulator of the transient receptor potential (TRP) channel family, yet the underlying ‘calmodulation playbook’ is only ...

Integrated routing of heavy electrical and diesel trucks in forest transports
Abstract Fossil‐free forestry transports are important to reach climate goals. In Sweden, road transports account for around 50% of the industry's CO2 emissions and almost 20% of the road freight volumes. Previous studies have shown that electrification is a cost‐effective way for carbon abatement, while at the same time the requirements for ...

A Network‐Based Approach to Understanding Key Signaling Pathways in Intervertebral Disc Biology
A literature‐based signaling network capturing the most relevant pathways in human nucleus pulposus cells was first constructed from curated biological evidence. The network was then translated into a system of ordinary differential equations to derive steady‐state solutions and define median baseline activity levels.

Improvement of vehicle dynamics through braking force distribution control
The influence on vehicle dynamics of braking force distribution to four wheels has been analyzed by computer simulation and experimentation. The analytical results indicate that a suitable braking force distribution control method can improve handling and stability during braking. A new braking force distribution cintrol strategy, using a steering wheel

Phylogenetic history shapes the composition of floral scents in a specialized pollination mutualism
Summary Most studies of the chemical ecology of plant–pollinator interactions emphasize the role of pollinator‐mediated selection in shaping floral scent composition. Nevertheless, phylogeny may constrain the metabolic pathways underlying these profiles, thereby influencing the evolutionary trajectory of the emitted signals.
