Material‐Encoded Synchronization of Immunogenic Cell Death With Adenosine A2A Receptor Blockade Reprograms the Tumor Microenvironment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A bismuth–copper diselenide–based nanoplatform (BSCS@PHY) coordinates immunogenic cell death with local A2A receptor blockade in 4T1 tumors. Thermally triggered shell melting exposes catalytic surfaces for glutathione depletion and chemodynamic ROS generation, while co‐delivering an A2AR antagonist and yeast‐wall adjuvant to enhance dendritic‐cell ...

Experimental Demonstration of Temporally Aware Fault‐Tolerant Sensor Fusion Using Memristive Associative Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
In dynamic driving scenarios, the proposed approach ensures only temporally aligned sensor inputs to make driving decisions, preventing false activations. By enabling selective hardware‐level learning, it achieves fast, reliable responses under noisy conditions.

Braking bad: Arousal influences the visual guidance of braking

open access: yes, 2017
Arousal has been shown to influence perceptual judgments as well as the execution of online motor control (e.g., as in the case of choking under pressure).

Automation of Surgical Workflow Recognition: Unveiling the Surgical Instrument Kinematics that Underly Robot‐Assisted Prostatectomy Procedures

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Automated procedural analysis is recognized as one of the major game changers for robotic surgery. Meaning digital analysis needs to replace the manual assessments that set todays standard. Mechanical robotic‐instrument tracking enables the derivation of quantitative kinematic metrics that support behavior‐based workflow segmentation into distinct ...

ANALYSIS OF POSSIBILITY TO AVOID A RUNNING-DOW ACCIDENT TIMELY BRAKING [PDF]

open access: yesAvtomobilʹnyj Transport (Harʹkov), 2013
Such circumstances under which the drive can stop the vehicle by applying timely braking before reaching the pedestrian crossing or decrease the speed to the safe limit to avoid a running-down accident is considered.

A numerical and experimental study on the factors that influence heat partitioning in disc brakes

open access: yes, 2010
YesTo investigate the heat partition on a vehicle disc brake, a small scale test rig with one contact interface was used. This allowed the disc/pad contact temperatures to be measured with fast-response foil thermocouples and a rubbing thermocouple ...

Autonomous X‐Ray Fluorescence Mapping for Nanoscale Chemical Speciation of Fine Particulate Matter

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
We present X‐AutoMap, an autonomous X‐ray fluorescence mapping framework that integrates real‐time analysis with rule‐based computer vision to selectively target chemically relevant regions. By avoiding background‐dominated areas, the method reduces acquisition time by fourfold while enabling accurate particle‐level speciation.

The phenomenon of vehicle park brake rollaway [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
When a vehicle is parked on a slope with hot brakes, what appears to be a sufficient parking brake action can sometimes become insufficient. When the brakes cool down, the braking force reduces due to relaxation of the entire parking brake system, and ...

Driver Behavior Modeling with Subjective Risk‐Driven Inverse Reinforcement Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A subjective risk‐driven inverse reinforcement learning framework is proposed to model driver decision‐making. It infers drivers' risk perception and risk tolerance from driving data. A learnable risk threshold is used to regulate decisions, enabling interpretable and human‐like driving behavior decisions.
