Effect of Weight Passanger to Stopping Distance and Braking Pedal Force of CBR 250 CC [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Braking system is becoming one of the important aspects of the vehicle because it is one of the safety systems. Vehicle that traveling at higher speed must fully equipped with more reliable braking system.

Observation of Very High Energy Gamma Rays from HESS J1804-216 with CANGAROO-III Telescopes

open access: yes, 2008
We observed the unidentified TeV gamma-ray source HESS J1804-216 with the CANGAROO-III atmospheric Cerenkov telescopes from May to July in 2006. We detected very high energy gamma rays above 600 GeV at the 10 sigma level in an effective exposure of 76 hr.

Sustainable Optimization of Emissions and Performance in Hydrogen Port Injection Diesel Engines Through Port Timing and Injection Duration Modulation

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
Optimizing hydrogen port injection in diesel engines significantly improves efficiency and reduces emissions, demonstrating a sustainable dual‐fuel strategy for cleaner transportation solutions and lower environmental impact. ABSTRACT This study evaluates a single‐cylinder hydrogen port injection (HPFI) Diesel engine by systematically varying the ...

The influence of nondipolar magnetic field and neutron star precession on braking indexes of radiopulsars

open access: yes, 2010
Some of radiopulsars have anomalous braking index values $n = \Omega \ddot{\Omega} / \dot{\Omega}^2 \sim \pm (10^3 \div 10^4) $. It is shown that such values may be related with nondipolar magnetic field.

A dam‐inspired textile patch with layer‐by‐layer isovolumetric water transport for sweat loss monitoring

open access: yesInfoMat, EarlyView.
A dam‐inspired textile patch for controllable and quantitative sweat transport (as in dams transporting ships) and sweat loss monitoring. Unlike the conventional Janus‐structured textile of directional water transport model, this textile patch features a multi‐laminated all‐porous fabric structure with an unprecedented layer‐by‐layer isovolumetric ...

Navigating and reframing tensions within equity‐centered learning health systems

open access: yesLearning Health Systems, EarlyView.
Abstract Introduction Canada recently joined a growing list of countries that are establishing national collaboratives to exchange knowledge on and scale learning health systems (LHSs) across geographies and sectors. The first symposium of the pan‐Canadian Learning Health Hub was held in June 2024 and included a keynote presentation and breakout ...

Estimating vehicle braking distance over wet and rutted pavement surface through back-propagation neural network

open access: yesResults in Engineering
Due to repeated load cycles and climate impacts, road pavement deteriorates. One of the primary causes of pavement degradation is the formation of rutting under the wheel path on the road surface.

Performance Evaluation of an Anti-Lock Braking System for Electric Vehicles with a Fuzzy Sliding Mode Controller

open access: yesEnergies, 2014
Traditional friction braking torque and motor braking torque can be used in braking for electric vehicles (EVs). A sliding mode controller (SMC) based on the exponential reaching law for the anti-lock braking system (ABS) is developed to maintain the ...
