A Robust Servo Electronic Controller for Brake Force Distribution
1989 American Control Conference, 1989In this paper a control system which achieves ideal brake force distribution between the front and the rear wheels of a vehicle during normal braking is studied. Ideal brake proportioning is achieved by dynamically controlling the rear-wheel speed to track the front-wheel speed.

Theoretical Research on Ideal Brake Force Distribution of Tractor-Semitrailer Cornering Braking
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013For tractor-semitrailer, load transfer during cornering braking caused big difference of the vertical load between coaxial wheels. As a result, braking efficiency and directional stability were affected seriously, the traditional design of braking force distribution between axles couldnt meet the requirements.

This paper presents an adaptive individual brake torque estimation method based on the characteristic of front-to-rear brake force distribution ratio. Most previous studies on tire force estimation have assumed that brake torques can be calculated out of brake pressure and given fixed brake gains.

An optimised braking force distribution strategy for articulated vehicles
Vehicle System Dynamics, 2008The minimum stopping distance of a vehicle depends upon the maximum deceleration achievable prior to the wheel lock-up. Braking force distribution has an important and serious role in the vehicle stopping distance and its stability. Improvements can be achieved through the use of braking systems whose brake force distribution is made to be variable ...
